Can you answer employee pay questions with confidence and clarity? It sounds simple, but many organisations can't get it right because their data is split between HR and Finance, and it may matter more than most realise. 41% of employees say greater reliability and clarity of payments would do more for their job satisfaction than additional perks.* Finance handles sensitive data, so caution around AI is understandable. But is that caution protecting the business, or creating operational drag for the people function? That's what we're bringing senior HR and Finance leaders together to explore at our next VIP roundtable in Munich on Tuesday 13th October, in partnership with Remote and guided by James Ballard, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Annapurna. The conversation will be attendee-led but is likely to cover points such as: 👉 Does structure do more for pay equity than conversation? How much of a pay outcome still depends on who asks, how well and to whom? 👉 If an AI assistant could answer the same pay, benefits and deductions questions, what would be lost? Is there a ‘human finance touch’ worth protecting? 👉 How is transparency defined within HR compared to Finance? Do HR and Finance have a shared operating model? If you're an HR or Finance leader who wants to see how others are building shared operating models that involve AI to improve employee experience while staying compliant, we'd love you to join us. 🔗 Link to register your interest in the comments section below. *Remote's Global Payroll Report 2026

"In twelve months' time, all of our roles could look completely different from today." Two weeks ago, we hosted 19 senior HR, Technology, and GTM leaders for an in-depth and thought-provoking conversation around 'The AI Revolution: From Adoption to Operating Model Change'. The conversation was honest, sometimes uncomfortable, and genuinely insightful as everyone openly talked about what's actually happening inside their organisations regarding AI. Here's what stood out most: 👉 AI washing is the real risk, not AI itself. The danger isn't the technology, it's organisations claiming "AI can do this now" without a real strategy behind it. Our leaders in the room agreed AI should support and upskill people, not replace them. 👉 Younger businesses have an edge, but it's not an excuse for established ones. It's natural that companies built around AI from day one adopt it faster. Established organisations carry more complexity, but it shouldn't mean they give up on creating a strategy. Some leaders in the room found great success by creating transparent policies and a roadmap, so people understand what's changing and can decide if it's the right fit for them. 👉 AI ownership can't sit with one person or one department. Ownership of the AI strategy shouldn't default to IT or HR alone. Effective AI leadership needs a blend of business knowledge, technical understanding, and change management, spread across a collective of leaders, not a single owner. We're excited to announce that the full key takeaways from this event are now available for all to read on our website! "What's the cost of the project?" Many HR leaders will be well accustomed to hearing this question from the board by now. It's often the first question asked after you've pitched a new HR initiative, and to be honest, it's a fair question. But is it the right one to lead with? Perhaps not. Hope Milne, Manager (Head of Executive Talent Practice) at Annapurna, came to this realisation and decided there might be a better question to ask when assessing the importance of an HR initiative: What's the cost of NOT doing this? So, Hope put the question into practice with her podcast series, 'The Cost of Not', featuring conversations with Aaron Beider, Andrea Marston, Gergo Safar, and Richard Freeborn. Across the series, Hope explored the people programmes and projects these leaders have championed throughout their careers, and what could happen if they were no longer there. We've now brought the full series together in one written article. Read it to discover what Vertical Aerospace's 'Best Athlete' concept is, what an early careers programme can reveal about the health of an HR function, and much more. #hrleadership #thecostofnot #hrinnovation

"There's no such thing as impossible" 🦸♀️ Teru I. (former Director - HR Strategy, Transformation & Global M&A at Equinix) recently joined Magnus Okuonghae (Director of Interim HR & Transformation at Annapurna) for an episode of 'The Transformation Blueprint'. While the conversation focused on business transformation, Teru also shared her experience of receiving an Autism and Dyslexia diagnosis later in life. A perspective that Teru shared with Magnus that we loved is that a late diagnosis doesn't change who you are. It simply gives you a better understanding of who you've always been. During the episode, Teru reflects on how that understanding helped her make sense of her experiences and recognise the resilience she'd built over the years. Despite not having the diagnosis earlier in life, she achieved straight A's at school and built an impressive career, proving that nothing is impossible. In the full episode, Teru explains how being neurodivergent has become one of her greatest strengths and how it's helped shape her leadership style. AI is transforming the workplace at incredible speed, but who is making sure it's being designed fairly? In this clip from 'The Transformation Blueprint', Teru I. (former Director - HR Strategy, Transformation & Global M&A at Equinix) shares why HR professionals need a seat at the table when organisations are embedding AI into workflows and business processes. AI doesn't intentionally create bias. However, because many models are trained on the history of human behaviour, bias can unintentionally find its way into hiring, performance management, and decision-making. As Teru explains, that's exactly why HR's role is becoming even more important. Their presence at the table means someone is ensuring it's implemented responsibly, ethically, and with people at the centre. Watch the clip below to hear Teru's perspective.🎥 For the full conversation, listen on your preferred podcast platform below: Spotify - https://lnkd.in/e_n_53Be Apple Podcasts - https://lnkd.in/eN-4X3kS YouTube Music - https://lnkd.in/ebaJR883 #hrtransformation #aiinwork #futureofwork

How do you build, maintain, and change workplace culture? 🔄 Teru I. says it comes down to one simple action..."doing things differently". In our first podcast episode of 'The Transformation Blueprint', hosted by Magnus Okuonghae (Director of Interim HR & Transformation at Annapurna), Teru I. (former Director - HR Strategy, Transformation & Global M&A at Equinix) highlighted that sometimes changing culture can be overcomplicated by leaders. Her biggest piece of advice is to remember to see 'change' as a verb above anything else. Teru also emphasised that once you begin to behave differently, reward different things, and refuse to tolerate the very things you're trying to change, the change will happen naturally and with ease.
