Every SAP AE eventually hits the same wall: They're juggling thousands of partners, oh, and their own product of course. Then a customer shows up with one very specific problem, and it's hard to connect that problem to a sea of partners that all sound the same. Worse, an AE who brings in the wrong one might find out three months later it's stepping on SAP's own roadmap. That's the moment I want CSMs and AEs to have a clean answer for. Employee Central knows who you are. SuccessFactors Learning knows what you've completed. Talent Intelligence Hub understands your skills. AG5 Skills Management Software verifies whether you're qualified and meet the requirements to do the work on the floor. Seen side by side, each one has its own job. AG5 takes what SAP SuccessFactors already knows about someone all the way onto the floor. If you’re an SAP AE or CSM and want that side-by-side for your next customer conversation, here’s where AG5 fits: https://lnkd.in/ea5nfN9C

GM just issued a do-not-drive order on 2026 Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac trucks The trigger: one Silverado locked up dead in a parking lot. Cause: a missing oil pickup tube in the transfer case. You'd think that's a design flaw or a bad batch of parts. It's not. A supplier in Mexico skipped a documented assembly step. The error-proofing that should have rejected that unit before it left the line got bypassed during that window. Then the supplier's own end-of-line torque data flagged the problem. It identified 68 suspect transfer cases across the entire run. GM traced those to 66 vehicles and pulled every one. Out of a full production run, GM could point to the exact vehicles that might carry the bad part. That's traceability done right, and it's the difference between a targeted recall and grounding an entire model lineup. But still, there was a documented procedure. It didn't matter that the standardized steps were skipped during a line changeover and the check that should have caught it was bypassed. Having a procedure written down and being able to verify that the person on the line is trained and followed it that day on that unit are very different things. That difference is where recalls are born.

A supervisor at a US Fortune 500 factory I spoke with starts every morning with a laminated sheet and a whiteboard. In 2026. At this US facility, roughly 80 people work the floor, and a large share are hourly, temp-agency workers. That's not unusual. Nearly 2.2 million people work temp or contract roles through US staffing companies in an average week, and industrial work, the category manufacturing falls under, is the single largest slice at 36 percent. That's roughly 790,000 people on temp or hourly contracts in industrial jobs. For the supervisor, this means that he doesn't know who's walking in until the morning. Some just don't show. So every day starts with the same puzzle: whoever's in the building has to get assigned to a machine on the spot. Not everyone can run every machine. Training varies, certifications vary, and putting the wrong person on the wrong equipment creates risk. To solve that puzzle, this facility, backed by a multi-billion-dollar parent company, uses a laminated sheet and a whiteboard. The supervisor checks who's in, matches them to who's trained on which machine, and writes the schedule by hand. But laminated sheets don't hold history. Wipe the board, and that record is gone. There’s no audit trail or way to prove later that only qualified people ran a given machine on a given day. If there was only a system that could hold what's on that whiteboard, know who's certified for what, and keep a record nobody can wipe clean… … it would single-handedly save the supervisor's morning, the compliance team's year, and probably a few people's jobs after the next audit. Shoot me a message if you’d like to see how it works.
