Two weeks ago, we turned down our third inbound acquisition offer. As an immigrant who didn’t grow up rich, saying no to life‑changing money isn’t easy. I’ve been a broke founder practically my entire life. No exit, no liquidity. No high-paying FAANG job (probably can’t even get the job 😅) But for both myself and Koushik, the mission has always been bigger than the multiple. And for us, the signals that we’re on the right mission are compounding: growth rate, customer love, and brand pull, all accelerating month over month. Our dream logos are starting to knock on our door weekly. And the team’s execution gives me more conviction today than ever. We’re building Supademo for the long term, and we’re just getting started. Founders: what principles guide a “not yet” for you, even when the offer looks great on paper?

Bullhorn (1400+ employees) replaced static videos with Supademo and cut their course creation time in half while boosting engagement by 20%. I’m feeling like the bottleneck lately… Rushing strategic calls. Pulled thin across product, sales, and partnerships. Details slipping that never used to slip. Even worse: high-volume days mean even key sales conversations are starting to blur together. The team needs more access to me, but I feel like I’m drowning IN the business, and not working ON the business. Here’s the tension I’m dealing with: momentum is incredible. Being relentless as an IC has been the recipe that led us to $2M+ in ARR. And easing off the gas here feels risky. But I’m starting to think that me staying as the bottleneck is riskier. So we’re tackling this risk head-on… and hiring across the board. We’re trading our near-term profitability to build more capacity across engineering, marketing, design, and sales. If you're in one of these functions, we'd love to meet you! Otherwise, for founders at other fast-growing startups: how do you personally balance the IC vs. strategic at your company?

How they run it: → Interactive demos with instant multilingual voiceovers for docs and training → Embedded across onboarding, enablement, and the knowledge base: meeting users where they are → Product enablement that standardizes client and employee onboarding Here's what it’s driving: → $100k+ in resourcing saved → ~75% faster enablement content production → Higher engagement across docs and training Grateful for partners like VRIFY who move fast and raise the bar for customer education. Get the full scoop on VRIFY’s playbook through the full case study.

90% of founders obsess over MORE: more signups, more features, more channels But one of the biggest growth unlocks isn’t adding more stuff. It’s iterating, refining, and treating your “day 1” onboarding experience as a standalone product of its own. This means giving it the appropriate level of attention, resources, and constant iteration to ensure it’s intentional and memorable for users. Ultimately, if your onboarding experience isn’t evolving and improving alongside user/market expectations, it won’t matter how good your core product is. Folks won’t even get around to experiencing it. Your first-time experience should do three things (nothing more, nothing less): → Communicate why your product matters (ideally differently from your marketing copy) → Show value or get users to experience it immediately → Drive a clear next step At Supademo, we run monthly experiments around these objectives and aim to revisit them monthly. It’s never “set it and forget it”. It’s a product we refine, again and again. So the next time you think about growth, don’t look outward. Revisit existing experiences instead. It could be your most powerful unlock. When was the last time you revamped your onboarding, and what came out of it?
