Using the example of a book of 100,000 policies potentially generating around 70,000 to 80,000 claims a year, Mark puts the scale into perspective. And as he points out, most of us do not crash our car four times a year for the next six years... That level of activity creates a very different operational challenge, particularly as insurers grow and look at how automation can help manage increasing claims volumes. 🎧 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟵 https://lnkd.in/ekiWXHBR 🎙️ 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀 https://lnkd.in/dH3JA8j6 #BreakingTheICE #PetInsurance #Claims #InsuranceTechnology

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲? When someone needs assistance abroad, they may already be stressed, worried and dealing with an unfamiliar situation. In this clip from Breaking the ICE, Tom Bool and James Austin from Lexxika discuss why the human element remains so important as AI becomes more capable across the assistance journey. AI has huge potential to make processes more effective. But that does not mean removing people from the moments where judgement, reassurance and empathy matter most. The question is not simply what can we automate, but what should we automate? A policy document being sent doesn’t mean it’s been understood. And if the gap between expectation and reality only becomes clear at the point of claim, customer education has probably come too late. In his latest article, our Head of Solutions, Mark Colonnese, looks at how pet insurers can better engage and educate customers throughout the policy lifecycle, including where expectations can break down, what Consumer Duty tells us about genuine understanding, and how technology and AI can help. As Mark puts it: “A completed purchase tells you somebody bought the policy. It doesn’t tell you whether they understood it.” 👉 Read Mark’s latest article: https://lnkd.in/gUB7K2Na #PetInsurance #CustomerExperience #InsurTech #Insurance
