Working with organizations navigating complex, interconnected exposures, I've seen firsthand how quickly a single risk can cascade across an enterprise. HUB's 2026 North American Report reveals that 73% of organizations exhibit two or fewer basic risk maturity characteristics, meaning most aren't equipped to manage risks holistically. When geopolitical instability, climate volatility and regulatory shifts are converging, isolated risk management simply doesn't work. The Canadian nonprofit landscape is shifting beneath our feet. What strikes me most in the HUB 2026 Outlook is the gap: while 10% of Canadian businesses have adopted AI, only 5% of nonprofits have, yet we're seeing a 50% spike in credential phishing attacks targeting our sector. Add to that the continued decline in charitable giving and 1 in 5 employees considering leaving within six months, and it's clear: operational resilience isn't optional anymore. The organizations thriving in 2026 will be those investing in risk maturity today, from cyber preparedness to diversified funding models. What's your biggest concern heading into 2026? Let's discuss. For property owners and investors, the litigation landscape has fundamentally shifted how we do business over the last few years. Nuclear verdicts jumped 52% in 2024, and thermonuclear verdicts rose 81%. But there's good news to balance out the challenges: commercial property rates are dropping 5-15%, and catastrophe coverage is finally softening. The question is: are you positioned to take advantage of the relief while protecting against the emerging risks? I've spent the past few months working with clients to build risk-mature portfolios that do both. Our 2026 Outlook breaks down exactly how to navigate this complex environment. Download the full report or DM me. I'd love to discuss how these trends specifically impact your portfolio. https://lnkd.in/g5vpNBJF #RiskManagement #RealEstate #HUBInternational #Outlook2026

The combination of labor costs ($890 billion annually for hospitals alone), rising medical malpractice severity and regulatory complexity unfortunately creates a perfect storm for 2026. But that doesn’t mean you can’t position your organization for success. Healthcare systems with integrated risk management, strong professional liability coverage and proactive claims strategies will weather this better than most. HUB’s 2026 Healthcare Outlook gives you the roadmap. Download the report and reach out to discuss how your coverage measures up. https://lnkd.in/gz8m_dry #RiskManagement #Healthcare #HUBInternational #Outlook2026

Each year our Education Practice assesses the risk landscape of the Canadian education sector. Between high profile cyber security breaches and international and domestic student enrollment declines, many institutions have had a challenging year. The institutions navigating this landscape successfully are engaging in proactive risk mitigation strategies and leaning on their advisors for both enterprise risk management and transfer strategies. We have seen a growing emphasis on measuring and mitigating campus deferred maintenance which has translated into many large-scale capital projects on campuses nationwide. As institutional risk strategies mature, more institutions are insuring these projects with owner-controlled insurance rather than purchasing construction insurance through contractors. We anticipate a continuing softening of the insurance market - which is good news heading into the budgeting cycle. Our 2026 Education Outlook provides the roadmap for Canadian institutions facing these interconnected challenges.
