This morning over 1,000 NSW employers joined Matthew Vickers, General Manager, SME and Specialty and Katie Giddins, General Manager, NI Corporate from EML NSW for an online presentation regarding the key reforms shaping the future of NSW’s workers compensation. ‘We’re looking at the most significant changes to the NSW workers compensation scheme in over a decade,’ said Matthew Vickers. ‘It’s natural for employers to be concerned and today’s event was a good way for us to provide an overview of the reforms and outline what we’re doing to support our customers and their people.’ Today’s briefing follows the events of earlier this week when the NSW Parliament passed a modified version of the Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Bill 2025 - which will lead to changes in the way our State’s workers compensation system operates. We have updated our website with a high-level summary of what we know so far, and we will continue to share insights into what these changes mean for NSW employers as events unfold. ‘For customers who were unable to attend today, rest assured we will be continuing to provide regular updates as more information becomes available,’ said Katie Giddins. ‘We have extensive experience in supporting employers to prevent and manage psychological injury claims so our customers can be confident that we are ready to respond to any legislative changes and will continue to invest in programs designed to deliver better outcomes that support their businesses and most importantly, their workers.’ To find out more about what we offer NSW employers visit us at: https://lnkd.in/gJSkuj6t And our recent news article regarding the changes can be found here: https://lnkd.in/ggRZdd_K #workerscompensation #workerscompensationreform #NSWworkerscomp
