Stop wasting hours on post-event data work. Automatically enrich every event lead with emails, phone numbers and more. No manual work, no guesswork.

Stop sending "great to meet you" emails. Over the last 10 years I've sent hundreds of post-event follow-ups and the ones that get ignored all have one thing in common: they are about me, not them. "Great to meet you at [event]! I'd love to set up a call to show you how we can help." Yikes. That might as well be a cold email. It doesn't reference anything they said, their pain points, or their priorities. In our new era of AI-personalized emails, prospects are raising the bar for what they reply to (or even read). Here's the sequence we run after meeting a lead at an event which works great for us: 1. Within 2 hours of the conversation: NO PITCHING. Reference 2 specific things they said. "You mentioned your team is struggling to [pain point]. I had the same problem here's what we did." You’ve just proved you actually listened. I use Blinq's AI Notetaker to transcribe and summarize my conversations, and tag them to the person. 2. 3 days later: Send something actually useful they didn't ask for (PS your product one-pager doesn't count). A case study, framework, or stat that's relevant to the problem they described, something that helps them even if they never buy from you. 3. 8 days after the event, if they haven’t replied yet: Now you've earned the right to ask for time but frame it around their problem, not your demo. "Would it be helpful if I walked you through how [company] solved [the exact issue you described] in 15 minutes?" Most teams blast one generic email on day 5 and wonder why nobody replies. Event marketing teams - what are your post-event sequences looking like and what’s working for you?

Event marketers: has anyone ever been promoted because a booth ran smoothly? Didn’t think so… No one seems to notice when everything goes right, but inevitably your phone starts going off the minute something goes wrong. That’s why events can sometimes feel like a tough trade when it comes to execution: many ways to mess up, alongside a high-degree of expectation for clear results and ROI. So what if the way to win is actually not on the event floor at all? The answer is being able to neatly tie each event back to pipeline and revenue. I.e. being able to say: “This event produced $X, here’s exactly how we tracked it.” In 2026 where B2B event motions are the new hot thing, the best event marketers rising through the ranks aren’t simply good at logistics (though that is table stakes), they’re proving events work by bringing a pipeline number into post-show meetings. Historically, this has been a nightmare with reliance on reps doing the right thing post-event and typical badge scanner chaos - this is something I see in our demo calls every single day. These pains are why we’ve built what we have here at Blinq. Everyone you meet at an event, instantly in your CRM: tagged, enriched, and ready to follow-up, with every dollar of pipeline accounted for when it comes time to defend the event budget.

Things I’ve been called while working in event marketing, roughly in order of frequency: “The events gal” “The person who organizes the swag” “Party planner” “Merch pusher” (this was funny I admit) What I actually did (with Blinq): planned our events calendar based on which events had the most pipeline impact, tracked and reported ROI on those events, ran pre/post‑event outreach and got 40% more replies, and cut lead‑to‑CRM time to near‑instant. Only one of those lists ever comes up when someone asks what I do.

Event marketers: go ask someone outside marketing what they think you do. I asked around and got back some version of "they book booths at conferences and stuff.” Nobody said: - Picking which 10 shows out of 90 are worth - Prepping field sales on what to say when someone walks up - Cleaning up the data after - Building the follow-up so those leads go somewhere instead of sitting in a CSV. You get judged on how the booth looked or how busy it was on the day. Compare this to the guys over at paid growth. They’re never questioned as a GTM strategy because everything is attributable and the ROI is clear. Most events don’t have that, so that might be where the gap is. Your reporting should lead with a pipeline figure rather than booth attendance. We use Blinq for this - it tracks each event as a campaign, including its goals, budget, attributed pipeline, and reps, so you can calculate the exact cost per lead and ROI.
