Today we’re announcing our Series C, led by Sequoia Capital at a $1 billion valuation. We’ve now raised $125 million in total. Since January, CI jobs on Blacksmith have grown from 5 million to more than 90 million a week, across more than 10,000 companies including Ashby, Granola, Handshake and LangChain. When Aditya Maru, Aayush Shah and I started Blacksmith in 2024, we wanted to make CI faster and less painful. Even at the start of this year, we underestimated how much code people would be shipping. We expect that volume to only keep increasing as models get better and more engineers embrace AI codegen tools. We’re building Blacksmith to help developers merge code faster and feel confident about what they’re shipping. This funding lets us buy more compute, and we’re expanding our footprint by at least 5x next year. We’re just getting started.
