Ahead of #UNGA, I have five questions for world leaders. They might never reach them. But they were on my mind this morning, so I thought I’d put them out there. I’m curious about the distance between what sounds ambitious in a summit hall and what feels meaningful to the people outside it. A teenager hearing “by 2030” again. A teacher expected to turn a promise into something real. A country trying to find its place in the AI economy. I still want to believe in shared goals. But I’d like us to spend as much time questioning what we’re delivering as announcing what we’re aiming for. A shared future should mean more than a shared deadline. These are my five. What would you ask?

Who said governance work has to be boring? I recently digitised the governance function at my workplace. That experience inspired me to create The Digital Governance Prompt Guide, attached in comments. It starts with everyday questions: “Where’s the right form?” “Which process applies?” “Who can approve this?” Inside are 13 practical workflows covering governance frameworks, policy and process explorers, DOA interpretation, glossaries, and more, with inputs, prompts to adapt, and visual examples. Start with one problem you know. Want the interactive prompt companion? Comment “GUIDE” and I’ll send it over. You can browse workflows, customise your inputs, and copy prompts to use in your preferred AI tool. #CorporateGovernance #DigitalGovernance #AgenticAI #DigitalTransformation

Everyone keeps saying, “I’m a builder.” Building AI. Building agents. Building tools. But building with AI also means deciding: What should humans hold? What can agents handle? When must control return to people? Based on our practice across systems thinking, portfolio design, capability building and AI, we curated the Builder Canvas. A practical tool for designing the division of work, authority and learning between humans and agents. No agent without an owner, a boundary and a handback. I’ve added the fillable template in the first comment. #AI #AIAgents #FutureOfWork #CapabilityBuilding

This is Episode 2 of Tell Me More. My second hypothesis: If AI does the junior work, then we may save time today but lose experts tomorrow. AI can already handle first drafts, summaries and basic analysis. That is useful. But those tasks were also part of how people learned to think, make trade-offs and build judgment. We do not need to preserve repetitive work. We do need to replace the learning it carried. I suggest three moves: Show the thinking behind senior decisions. Own one real recommendation, not only the research. Grow responsibility over time. AI can shorten the path to an answer. It should not remove the path to expertise. Do not preserve junior work. Preserve the path to senior judgment. How is your organization redesigning apprenticeship for the AI era? #TellMeMore #ArtificialIntelligence #FutureOfWork #Leadership

This is the first episode of Tell Me More, a 10-episodes series of working hypotheses connecting the signals we see today with the futures we may soon experience. My first hypothesis: If prompting becomes effortless, then pausing becomes a competitive advantage. In the video, I share three simple ways to practise that pause: Predict before you prompt. Challenge after the answer. Reconnect before you act. The point is not to slow everything down. It is to stop borrowed confidence from becoming automatic action. As #AI makes answers abundant, judgment may become the scarce skill. How are you protecting your own thinking while using AI? #TellMeMore #ArtificialIntelligence #FuturesThinking #DecisionMaking

A perfectly reported CSR budget can still be poorly allocated. Accounting for every riyal/dollar is not the same as knowing why these initiatives deserved it. Should we reach more people or go deeper with fewer? Renew a proven programme or test something new? Fund separate projects or build something that works together? Those are design choices, not reporting questions. That is the argument in my article, Treat CSR Impact Allocation as a Design Problem. Start with the need, not the shortlist. Explore alternatives. Test assumptions. Make the trade-offs visible before the recommendation becomes the only option. It is also the thinking behind ImpactGround.ai: helping teams compare and strengthen impact decisions before committing the budget. Not just “What did our money achieve?” But “Why was this the right place to put it?” #CSR #SocialImpact #Sustainability #CorporateGovernance #Vision2030
