Arabic #RAPKnowledgeLive Session Unpacks the iRAP Star Rating Model v3.10 Last week, more than 100 road safety professionals from across the #MiddleEast, #NorthAfrica and beyond joined a special Arabic-language #RAPKnowledgeLive session to explore the updated iRAP Star Rating Model v3.10 and what it means for road safety assessments, investment planning and safer roads for all road users. The webinar was led by iRAP’s Global Safer Journeys Specialist Samar Abouraad, and included invited speaker Dr. Mohamed Hoseny Ph.D, RSTL, MSORSA, RSP, iRAP Accredited Supplier, Euro Group Consultancy. It attracted strong engagement, with 40 audience questions submitted throughout the session. The session started by introducing how an iRAP project is undertaken, and showing case studies of before and after iRAP assessment and remedial measures in KSA. Participants gained practical insights into the key updates introduced in Version 3.10, including enhanced modelling for pedestrians and cyclists, revised speed risk factors, updated Star Rating bands and new coding attributes designed to better reflect real-world road safety risks. 📢 We’re proud to share our 2025 Annual Report, a testament to the inspiring and collective impact of our partners, donors and road safety champions around the world working together to create a world free of high-risk roads. The report highlights the progress made in 2025 through the dedication and collaboration of the global iRAP partner family — governments and road authorities, development banks and funding institutions, FIA – Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile mobility clubs, researchers, the private sector and road safety NGOs. Together, these partnerships are helping to transform the safety of roads and streets in 140 countries. iRAP’s evidence-based tools, programmes and partnerships are supporting safer road investment decisions, growing road safety capacity and accelerating action towards the global goal of halving road deaths and injuries by 2030. This progress would not be possible without the generous and long-term support of iRAP’s major donor the FIA Foundation and supporter Fundación Aleatica, the technical contributions of our development partners, and the dedication of thousands of organisations and individuals worldwide. Celebrating the release, iRAP CEO Greg Smith said, “Every safer road, every safer journey and every life protected is the result of collaboration. For every US$100 our charity receives from the FIA Foundation, we’re able to mobilise another $1,000 in projects funded by others, influence $425,000 in road investments, and help prevent 13 deaths and serious injuries. We’re so proud to be empowering the passion and commitment of our partners around the world who are turning evidence into safer roads and life-saving action.” Click on the link to look through our annual report and help celebrate our achievements together! #partnershipsforimpact #roadsafety 👉 https://lnkd.in/g9FFU5GK

At the Innovation Workshop today in #Budapest – iRAP has announced the launch of the updated Star Rating Model Version 3.10, marking a major milestone in the evolution of global road safety assessment. Following a comprehensive five-year review, Version 3.10 introduces a significantly enhanced, evidence-based framework for measuring road infrastructure risk and guiding life-saving investments worldwide. Used in more than 140 countries, iRAP Star Ratings provide an objective measure of the level of safety “built in” to the design of roads for all road users — including vehicle occupants, motorcyclists, pedestrians and cyclists. ⬇️ 👀

📢 Big step forward for road safety in #Indonesia Representing Indonesia’s Ministry of Public Works, Directorate General of Highways (DGH), in partnership with iRAP, officially signed an agreement establishing #InaRAP in Jakarta yesterday, a national initiative aimed at significantly reducing road crash deaths and injuries. The Indonesia Road Assessment Programme (InaRAP) aims to eliminate high-risk roads and arrest the devastating impact of road crashes which the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates claim over 31,000 lives each year and cause a million more life-changing injuries, and have an annual economic cost of some US$38 billion. ⬇️ 👀

Road safety champions from across the globe gathered earlier in the month for two #RAPKnowledgeLive special sessions. These webinars marked a pivotal moment in the journey toward the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety, offering an exclusive first look at the new improved iRAP Star Rating Model: Version 3.10. Following a comprehensive five-year review by the iRAP Global Technical Committee, Version 3.10 is set to launch in May 2026. These sessions provided essential insights for road authorities, engineers, and partners on how the model is evolving to better protect all road users. 💡 Catch Up: Watch the Recordings: If you missed the live English sessions or want to revisit the technical details, the recordings and presentation materials are now available (we also have Spanish, Portuguese and French sessions coming up!) ⬇️ 👀
