We were pleased to welcome Pamela Nash MP, Member of Parliament for Motherwell, Wishaw and Carluke, to our manufacturing facility in Motherwell this week. Ms. Nash met with members of the Invinity team including Adam Howard and Paul Docherty and toured the facility where our vanadium flow batteries are assembled for deployment across the UK and around the world. Learn more about Ms. Nash's visit, and the role that domestic manufacturing can play in accelerating the energy transition while delivering economic benefits to communities across Scotland and the wider UK: https://lnkd.in/dbG96wAK

Can batteries unlock more compute for power-constrained data centre developers? ⚡Increasingly, the development bottleneck isn’t just GPUs, it’s access to power; AI workloads are pushing power demand to new extremes in both scale and volatility. ⚡ The questions become not just "how do I get more megawatts?" but also "how do I get more computing output from the megawatts I have?" ⚡ For developers looking to maximise the amount of computing power they can put on site, Vanadium Flow Batteries can be a game changer. In our latest blog, we explore how VFBs' unique high-throughput capabilities can turn limited power into greater GPU processing capacity, delivering "compute uplift" and greater revenue. 👉Read more on our website: https://lnkd.in/gzbt4XZM #EnergyStorage #GridStorage #BatteryTech #DataCenters #Compute #ComputeUplift #VFB #VanadiumFlowBatteries #BankableStorage #ProjectDevelopment Image: Panumas Nikhomkhai

Can batteries unlock more compute in a power-constrained data centre? AI workloads are pushing power demand to new extremes in both scale and volatility, and with demand for compute surging, developers are struggling to secure grid connections and onsite generation. ⚡ The questions become not just "how do I get more megawatts?" but also "how do I get more computing output from the megawatts I have?" ⚡ For developers looking to maximise the amount of computing power they can put on site, Vanadium Flow Batteries can be a game changer. “Thrilled” doesn’t quite capture how excited we at Invinity Energy Systems are to announce that we’ve been selected by FlexBase Group as their strategic partner to build a gigawatt-hour scale flow battery for their Technology Centre Laufenberg. More details are in our announcement, linked below. This is a massive moment for us. We’ve always been excited by the capabilities our batteries deliver to our customers. Project after project, we’ve proven at scale how our batteries can be the high-throughput, flexible, durable solution our customers need for a future low-cost, low-emission, high-reliability electric grid. But today, that grid is heaving under new loads it was never designed to serve. Datacenters are being built at a rate that threatens electricity cost and reliability. And the size of those datacenter loads isn’t even the toughest problem. Frontier AI clusters drawing a gigawatt or more often feature tens of thousands of GPUs that operate in concert with one another; as they initiate then complete a training task, their electricity draw can go from 0% to 100% then back in an instant. That’s the equivalent of a city of a million residents popping onto the grid, then almost immediately disappearing. Managing that kind of load, and that kind of load growth, is going to require new tools. Transmission is already constrained. Existing generation assets can’t respond fast enough. And lithium-ion batteries can’t deliver the cycles needed to keep up. Fortunately, as of today, the answer is clear: Invinity’s vanadium flow batteries are the right tool for the AI datacenter challenge. Bring it on. https://lnkd.in/e6D95Xt3
