Position details: • Dates: October onwards • Location: Kwinana, WA • Roster: Varied • Shift: Dayshift • Hours: 10 to 12 hour shifts Requirements: • Experience in industrial tube fitting, typically stainless steel. • Swagelok or Gyrolok Certificate (preferred, not essential). • Current Working at Heights (WAH) certification within the last 3 years (preferred, not essential). • White Card (Construction Induction). • High-risk licence to operate scissor lifts & boom type EWP (preferred, not essential). • Australian current Driver's Licence. • Ability to pass a medical screen/D&A screen test. The Rhosonics SDM ECO is an ultrasonic density transmitter. It measures water-based slurries using acoustic impedance, which is the reflection of ultrasonic energy between the sensor face and the slurry. So there is no radioactive source in it. It installs in horizontal and vertical pipes, half-filled pipes, launders and tanks, so it can go in places a nuclear gauge cannot. And it's also field-proven in abrasive and high density conditions thanks to its ceramic and Duplex 2205 wetted parts. With no nuclear source there is no licence, no transport requirements, no radiation safety officer standing over the job every time someone works near it, and nothing to dispose of at end of life. That means that over the life of the instrument there is a real saving. At Instrowest we supply, install and commission it from start to finish, and we have watched the SDM ECO take the radiation out of density measurement at a number of Australian sites without losing the accuracy.
