"So many people told us it was impossible. People told us, 'You're never going to be licensed in the U.K.,' and yet we're one of the first payment licenses in the U.K." Guillaume Pousaz founded Checkout.com in 2012 on a counterintuitive thesis: Go after the biggest merchants first, run on thin margins, and build global infrastructure that could work anywhere. For almost a decade, he did it without outside capital. Today, Checkout.com powers payments for Spotify, eBay, and Uber across 140 countries. Its San Francisco office, opened in 2025, is already the fastest-growing territory, with revenues up 80% year over year. Insight Partners first invested in 2019, leading Europe's largest fintech Series A at the time. “[It was] a next-generation tech stack in an industry where there were tons of older tech stacks and a total addressable market that is unlimited,” says Managing Director Deven Parekh. “[Pousaz] had a clear vision.” The partnership has deepened over multiple rounds and Sunday morning debriefs. "I will always be loyal to Deven," says Pousaz. "The same way you remember your first boss, you always remember your first investor." Pousaz has led Checkout for 15 years and is not slowing down. "What I'm working on today is really what's going to happen in 2028 and 2029. You're always four years out." Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/ejMQpJ9m

Attackers are exploiting vulnerabilities before most security teams even know they exist. The window to respond has gone from weeks to hours — now it's effectively zero. We're taking that question to Black Hat in Las Vegas next week, where the future of cybersecurity is taking shape. Managing Director Thomas Krane and Vice President William Blackwell published their latest thinking on the Next Stack and the future of cybersecurity. Their thesis: Cybersecurity will follow the broader AI trajectory as model capabilities reach the point where they can independently complete a full day of human work, and as the focus of AI advancement shifts from software to labor. Their piece maps out what that future security stack looks like, how the role of security teams is changing, and which products and workflows are most at risk of disruption. One CISO put it this way: "The opportunity is to transform from a manager of a set of tools, to a manager of agents. Otherwise, you're looking for another job." "We have one job to do: to be the best at what we do. Every time we go to the track to run, we have to be number one.” Kabal CEO Jan Inge Pedersen started his career cleaning oil and gas equipment in Sandnes, Norway. He went on to found Kabal, the logistics platform that now operates for 7,500 energy companies, including most energy supermajors, and 58,000 individual users. Pedersen bootstrapped the business for over a decade, maintaining 50% margins from the start. When Kabal won BP as a customer in 2015, the company had 15 employees. A single contract became 10 countries. Then 30. By 2023, Kabal had attracted significant investor interest, and Pedersen was selective. It took time to build the trust, but Insight kept showing up, eventually flying to Stavanger to show their conviction. Managing Director Michael Shephard says, "You could feel the energy in person, the relentless focus, the deep domain expertise, and drive to win." Since the majority acquisition in 2023, Insight has supported Kabal's push into M&A, helping the team pursue and close Trackit Energy and IronSight to expand from offshore into onshore and personnel logistics. Managing Director Rachel Geller, who joined the Kabal board alongside Shephard and Raja Atluri: "Kabal isn't just a static tool. It's a platform that grows with the market. The best is yet to come." AI Agents are non-deterministic. You give them a goal, and they go figure out how to reach it. Anjuna Security CSO Mark Bower describes it as "1,000 very enthusiastic interns being given a task and going off to do it." That's a feature and a security nightmare at the same time. The platform built by Ayal Yogev and Yan M. keeps data encrypted even while it's being processed — and their new Agent supervision layer enforces boundaries in real time, at the hardware level. In the piece: how confidential computing works, why agentic AI is forcing enterprises to rethink data protection, and why Bower thinks 2026 is the year it becomes a must. https://lnkd.in/gsRxmKQW

Stop selling to enterprises. Start building with them. The founders who understand that distinction are seeing very different outcomes. With a network of 3,000+ enterprise executives and strategic relationships, Insight sees firsthand what separates the partnerships that stick from the ones that don't. In this special edition of Flight School, produced in partnership with Insight Partners for Enterprise and featuring insights from Managing Director Mike Hayes, we get into what that shift means for founders and how to position yourself on the right side of it.

Wealth management is at an inflection point: $83T in generational wealth is changing hands, clients are expecting more from their advisors, and the opportunity for technology to step in has never been bigger. Insight Partners' Elan Arnowitz, Alessandro Luciano, and Adam Vartabedian dug into how AI is reshaping the industry, and mapped out three phases of adoption: structuring unstructured data, bridging fragmented systems, and moving from interpretation to action. The firms that win won't just have great advisors. They'll have great systems that enable great advisors. https://lnkd.in/grN7fjAr
