We’re excited to announce the official start of construction on the 200 MW Ras Ghareb Wind Project in Egypt, a major milestone for clean, sustainable energy in Egypt. We are delighted to partner with Powerchina Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited (HDEC), having signed a landmark EPC contract to ensure world-class technical excellence as the project moves into construction. The Ras Ghareb wind farm is a flagship project under Egypt’s renewable energy programme, part of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development EBRD-led Energy Pillar of the Nexus Water-Food-Energy (NWFE) initiative. Once operational, the wind farm will power over 300,000 homes and save more than 400,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, contributing directly to Egypt’s renewable energy and decarbonisation goals. The project also marks another step towards our 10 GW Africa-wide renewable energy target by 2030, which in turn will supply approximately 12 million homes with clean electricity. Mohamed I. A new milestone in our partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The EBRD has extended an additional $40 million equity investment in Infinity, bringing its total commitment to $141.5 million, up from $101.5 million. This new funding will drive the development of 3 GW of renewable energy projects across Africa through Infinity Power, reinforcing our mission to expand access to clean, sustainable energy across the continent. Mohamed I. Mansour, Co-founder and Chairman of Infinity Power, commented: “This continued support from the EBRD underlines our shared vision of a sustainable, fast-growth future for Egypt and Africa. Together, we are helping to unlock immense renewable energy potential – delivering projects that create jobs, strengthen energy security and enable long-term economic growth.” Harry Boyd-Carpenter, Managing Director, EBRD Sustainable Infrastructure Group stated: “We are very pleased to strengthen our partnership with Infinity and support its efforts to deliver large-scale renewable energy projects that will contribute to energy security, decarbonisation and economic development across the continent. Beyond Egypt, this new investment marks an exciting step in expanding Infinity’s footprint across Africa, where we see tremendous potential to scale up solar and wind generation. Together, we aim to bring clean, reliable and affordable energy to fast-growing economies and to drive the continent’s green transformation.” #Infinity #InfinityPower #EBRD #RenewableEnergy #CleanEnergy #Sustainability #Africa #Egypt #Investment #EnergyTransition #Partnership

We are pleased to have secured financing for Infinity Power’s first greenfield wind farm in Egypt, by recieving a $ 74.1 million financing package from EBRD for the 200 MW Ras Ghareb project. As Egypt’s principal development partner under the Nexus on Water, Food and Energy (NWFE) initiative, EBRD is financing the Ras Ghareb project with the support of the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Proparco. Set to be operational in 2027, Ras Ghareb wind farm will: . Deliver 200 MW of renewable power . Supply clean electricity to 300,000+ homes per year . Avoid 390,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions every year We extend our sincere appreciation to EBRD, Green Climate Fund, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Proparco for their partnership in making this milestone possible. We also acknowledge the invaluable contributions of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) and the @Egyptian Ministry of Finance. Together, we are accelerating Egypt’s clean energy transition and supporting our goal of 10 GW of renewable energy by 2030.

A wonderful recognition for our company and our co-founder and chairman, Mohamed I. Mansour, who ranked #2 on Forbes Middle East’s 2025 Sustainability Leaders list in the Renewable Energy sector, rising from #5 in 2024, in recognition of his vision and dedication to accelerating the clean energy transition. This recognition highlights the growing impact of Infinity Power, Africa’s largest renewable energy provider, with 1.3 GW of operational projects across Egypt, South Africa, and Senegal, cutting over 3 million tons of CO₂ emissions each year. Key milestones driving this progress include: . Financial close on a 200 MW wind project in Ras Ghareb, Egypt . Concession agreements for 80 MW of solar in Côte d’Ivoire (Aug 2025) . Winning 1.28 GW of solar across six projects in South Africa’s REIPPPP (Dec 2024) Together, these achievements move us closer to our target of 10 GW of operational renewable energy projects by 2030, powering a more sustainable future for Africa. https://lnkd.in/dyccAr76

Renewable energy is about more than the power we generate. It is about the emissions we avoid, the ecosystems we protect, the opportunities we create, and the infrastructure and partnerships that help communities and economies move forward. In our article, “How Solar and Wind Energy Advance Sustainability Goals and the UN Sustainable Development Goals in Africa,” we explore how responsible renewable energy development can turn sustainability commitments into tangible progress, while contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, from climate action and clean energy to education, work opportunities, biodiversity and partnerships. Because the success of Africa’s energy transition will not be measured only by how much clean power we generate, but by what that power makes possible.
