Imexpharm hands over thousands of medicine kits to flood-affected communities 🌧 During the period when Central Vietnam experienced prolonged heavy rains and flooding, and even after the water receded, leaving behind mud and challenging living conditions, communities faced numerous difficulties ranging from securing daily necessities to managing health risks. To help address these needs, Imexpharm collaborated with hospitals and clinics to distribute thousands of essential medicine kits to Nha Trang and Phu Yen, areas identified as being in significant need of support. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Ngoc – Vice President of the Vietnam Respiratory Society, Chairman of the Board at Ngoc Minh General Clinic – shared: “Following flooding, the elderly, children, and individuals with underlying health conditions are especially vulnerable to respiratory illnesses, digestive problems, and skin infections due to damp environments and contaminated water sources. Having basic medications available, such as probiotics, vitamins, cold and fever treatments, or medicated oil, helps residents manage common symptoms in a timely manner. These kits not only assist communities in addressing routine health concerns but also reflect Imexpharm’s support for doctors and pharmacists engaged in relief efforts in flood-affected areas.” Imexpharm sincerely thanks the doctors, nurses, and medical staff at Dong Nai Children's Hospital, Cho Ray Hospital, Hong Duc General Hospital, Ngoc Minh General Clinic, Children’s Hospital 2 – Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, and others for their support in ensuring that the medicines reached the people who needed them most. #IMP #Imexpharm #EU_GMP #TúiThuốcNghĩaTình ------------------------- Imexpharm Corporation - Headquarters: No. 4, 30/4 Street, Cao Lãnh Ward, Đồng Tháp Province - Website: www.imexpharm.com - Facebook: https://lnkd.in/gjAurQz7

Imexpharm Gives Priority To AWaRe Classification In Antibiotic Production AWaRe, which stands for Access, Watch, and Reserve, is an antibiotic classification system developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) to manage and use antibiotics effectively. The goal of AWaRe is to optimize antibiotic prescribing, reduce antibiotic resistance, and protect the effectiveness of existing antibiotics. The WHO's 13th General Programme of Work (GPW) for 2019–2023 includes a national target that at least 60% of total antibiotic consumption should be from the Access category. 💊Imexpharm always refers to the AWaRe classification system developed by WHO to ensure the provision of high-quality antibiotics to the community, especially antibiotics from the Access category, contributing to the prevention of antibiotic resistance. 3 main antibiotic categories of AWaRe: 1️⃣ Access: Should be widely used as the first (or second) choice in the treatment of common infections, part of the Essential Medicines List (EML). 2️⃣ Watch: Should be used more restrictively due to a higher risk of causing resistance or severe side effects. Antibiotics in this category should only be used when truly necessary (when no first- or second-choice options are available) and under close supervision. 3️⃣ Reserve: This group includes antibiotics with activity against multidrug-resistant (MDR) or extensively drug-resistant (XDR) bacteria, reserved for the most serious cases or when no other treatment options are effective. This category needs to be protected as part of national and international antibiotic stewardship programs. #IMP #Imexpharm #EU_GMP #AWaRe ------------------------- Imexpharm Corporation - Headquarters: No. 4, 30/4 Street, Cao Lãnh Ward, Đồng Tháp Province - Website: www.imexpharm.com - Facebook: https://lnkd.in/gjAurQz7

Antimicrobial Resistance in Vietnam: A growing concern The World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW), organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) from 18–24 November 2025, calls on the global community to “Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future.” WHO recognizes antimicrobial resistance (AMR) as 1 of the 10 major global public health threats. The alarming reality is that, without immediate intervention, AMR could result in up to 10 million deaths a year by 2050. In Vietnam, the Ministry of Health reports that over 60% of the population has purchased and used antibiotics without medical guidance, often treating antibiotics as medications for pain, fever, cough, or the common cold - conditions typically caused by viruses that do not require antibiotics. As a result, WHO lists Vietnam among the countries with a high rate of antimicrobial resistance. As a long-standing partner of healthcare professionals and the community, Imexpharm continues to strengthen its research and development of advanced, next-generation antibiotics, while also organizing professional seminars to promote the safe, effective, and rational use of antibiotics. Imexpharm encourages everyone: ✔️ Only take antibiotics when prescribed, and follow the 4 rights: right medicine – right dose – right timing – right duration. ✔️ Do not reuse leftover antibiotics from previous treatments. ✔️ Do not share prescriptions or leftover medications with others. ✔️ Do not use antibiotics to treat viral infections unless a bacterial co-infection is confirmed. #IMP #Imexpharm #EU_GMP #WAAW2025 #AMR ------------------------- Imexpharm Corporation - Headquarters: No. 4, 30/4 Street, Cao Lãnh Ward, Đồng Tháp Province - Website: www.imexpharm.com - Facebook: https://lnkd.in/gjAurQz7
