When Dockx Rental came to us, they didn't have a broken app. Their existing mobile flow worked fine, and they had been pioneering keyless rental for years. So why modernize a product that still works? Because "it works" doesn't mean it's built for future growth. Dockx realized that to keep scaling, integrate new smart lock hardware, and offer a frictionless customer journey, they needed a stronger foundation. The good news? Modernization isn't all-or-nothing. Depending on your roadmap, you can choose the approach that fits. For Dockx, rebuilding in Flutter unlocked complete flexibility, seamless hardware integrations, and infinite scalability. You don't always have to tear everything down, but your tech stack must align with your ambition. When you know your software is holding you back, but you’re terrified of a costly, multi-year rebuild, think of all the future possibilities! How do you decide when it's time to upgrade your digital product? Discover the 4 application modernization approaches: https://lnkd.in/eC3Mw_Jv

Building stronger partnerships isn't just about delivering great software, it’s about nurturing real relationships and creating shared moments. At icapps, we believe that true customer intimacy means going beyond the scope of a project to truly understand and support our partners. Last week we hosted an exclusive event in Doel, to give something back to the partners we work with every day. We brought together C-level executives from various industries for an evening dedicated to collaboration, inspiration, and networking. Our goal was simple: to create a space where they could truly connect. The recipe for the night? * A remarkable speaker (Shane McLeod) who challenged our perspectives on building the perfect team * Exceptional food by Zouterover * Pure customer happiness as the ultimate metric of success. Thank you to everyone who joined us. We are proud to build more than just applications, we are building lasting partnerships Here’s to growing together! 🥂

Building a custom booking platform for over 120 salons across Flanders is no small feat, and working alongside both our icapps team and Kreatos on this transformation makes me incredibly proud of what we accomplished together. Kreatos needed to replace an expensive, fragmented SaaS setup with a scalable, custom solution they could control in-house. The biggest challenge wasn't just designing a modern experience, it was standardizing operations across dozens of independent franchises and company-owned locations without disrupting the daily flow of hundreds of stylists. By bringing together strategic UX/UI design and scalable digital product development, our team collaborated closely with Kreatos to deliver a unified, brand-aligned booking flow for customers and a powerful centralized admin portal for salon staff. Together, we eliminated vendor lock-in while making network management completely seamless. It’s projects like this, where great teamwork and smart design directly unlock business growth and operational freedom, that make being a PM so rewarding. Curious how we tailored a high-scale platform for 120+ locations without interrupting daily operations? Read our full case study. https://lnkd.in/eQ-2u55w

Some of you might know about my new hobby, wingfoiling. There is a clear parallel between wingfoiling and delivering effective UX/UI services. In wingfoiling, too little lift keeps you stuck in the water. Too much chaos makes you crash. To fly, you need balance. Digital products are no different. * Too little UX? Users get stuck in friction, and your ROI sinks. * Over-engineered UI? You waste budget polishing details that don't move the needle. The goal isn't the prettiest design, it's usability lift-off: the precise amount of UX needed to remove friction and maximize conversion. 3 rules for optimal ROI: 1. Fix core friction before adding visual polish. 2. Measure design tweaks against revenue, not aesthetics. 3. Iterate quickly instead of waiting for a 6-month redesign. In product design, just like on the water: Minimum drag = maximum glide. 🚀 How do you decide when a product has "enough" UX/UI? Let's discuss below 👇

As a marketer, there is nothing worse than launching a great campaign, driving qualified traffic to a digital product... and then watching users drop off because of a bad user experience. 💔 For a long time, I thought performance bottlenecks were just "IT issues." But the truth is: your tech stack is directly tied to your marketing ROI. When your application is built on legacy code, marketing teams hit a wall. Setting up proper event tracking or personalized user flows feels like an uphill battle. Meeting mandatory regulations like the European Accessibility Act (EAA) becomes a legal and technical nightmare. Even integrating modern AI tools or automated customer touchpoints gets blocked by siloed backend data. 𝘉𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦, 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 🫣 Application modernization isn't just a technical upgrade; it's what gives marketing and product teams the agility to test, adapt, and scale without friction. If your digital product is quietly capping your growth, don't wait for silent user churn to force your hand. Proud of the work we did with the City of Antwerp and Digipolis on Slim naar Antwerpen! Years ago, we helped build the original app to support Antwerp's ambitious goal of a 50/50 split between cars and sustainable transport. After eight years and 40,000+ active users, combined with rising costs from an external vendor, it was time for a smart pivot. We gave the app a full modernization rewrite: new technology, a high-performance open-source mapping tool, and a fresher experience that now mirrors the Slim naar Antwerpen website. All while cutting operational costs significantly. A great example of how our team turned a potential cost issue into an opportunity to future-proof Antwerp's smart mobility. 🚲 🚲 🚗 Interested in how modernizing legacy software can cut costs without impacting your users?
