Hydrogenera has signed a grant agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to support the digitalisation of our sales operations. Industrial hydrogen projects require close coordination between customers, engineering and commercial teams. The Sales Operations Digitalisation project will bring customer information, technical requirements and proposal preparation into a connected digital workflow. It will combine engineering-offer preparation with a CRM platform adapted to Hydrogenera’s sales process. The tools will help identify missing information, organise project records and make responsibilities and next steps clearer. Our engineering and commercial teams will retain responsibility for technical assessments, pricing and customer commitments. The aim is to reduce administrative work and improve coordination as we handle a growing number of complex industrial enquiries. The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union’s InvestEU programme. Thank you to the EBRD for supporting this next step in Hydrogenera’s development. #Hydrogenera #DigitalTransformation #EBRD

Hydrogenera has secured a €655,830 project grant to develop and validate an integrated hydrogen energy system for industrial use. Working with Sofia University, we will develop H₂B³OX, a modular system connecting hydrogen production, metal hydride storage, compression and flexible energy use through intelligent controls. The aim is to make better use of surplus renewable electricity. Hydrogen produced on site will be stored for later use, with options to generate electricity through a fuel cell, supply compressed hydrogen or support industrial processes through blending with natural gas. Sofia University will contribute materials research and laboratory expertise. Hydrogenera will lead the engineering integration and industrial design. The demonstration system will be tested under real operating conditions to support further development and commercialisation. The project is co-funded by the European Union, through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and the Republic of Bulgaria, through its national budget, under the Research, Innovation and Digitalisation for Smart Transformation Programme 2021–2027. The programme is administered by the European Funds for Competitiveness Executive Agency, acting as the Managing Authority, under the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Republic of Bulgaria. #Hydrogenera #GreenHydrogen #HydrogenStorage #EUFunding

Thank you to everyone who joined Georgi Zhilev and Lachezar Tsenov at the Hydrogen Scotland Conference in Glasgow. Their presentation explored what hydrogen and oxygen-assisted combustion can look like in a live cement-kiln environment. The discussion focused on practical operating questions: reducing coal use, increasing the share of alternative fuels and maintaining stable clinker output. Industrial decarbonisation needs more than an ambitious target. It needs solutions that work within the reality of existing processes. Thank you to Hydrogen Scotland for bringing the sector together. #HydrogenScotland #IndustrialDecarbonisation #CementIndustry #Hydrogen #IndustrialHeat

How can a cement plant use less coal without compromising clinker output? On 6 October at the Hydrogen Scotland, Georgi Zhilev and Lachezar Tsenov will share Hydrogenera’s work from an industrial cement-kiln trial. The presentation looks at hydrogen and oxygen-assisted combustion in a live kiln environment, not a laboratory model. Across two operating trials, the team maintained clinker production at around 49 t/h while increasing the share of alternative fuels and reducing specific heat consumption. For industrial heat users, the question is not whether to change the fuel mix. It is how to do it while keeping the plant stable and in control. #HydrogenScotland #IndustrialDecarbonisation #CementIndustry #Hydrogen #IndustrialHeat

Electrolyser specifications often lead with the stack’s electricity consumption. It is an important figure, but it does not tell the whole story. The complete hydrogen system also has power-conversion losses in the AC-to-DC rectifier and uses electricity to: • Circulate and treat water • Manage operating temperature • Purify and dry the hydrogen • Run controls and safety systems • Compress the hydrogen when higher pressure is required This is why buyers should look beyond a single stack-efficiency figure. When comparing electrolyser systems, ask: 1. Does the figure cover the stack or the complete system? 2. At what operating load was it measured? 3. What hydrogen purity and outlet pressure does it deliver? 4. Which auxiliary systems are included? 5. Does it include compression? The relevant comparison is the electricity required to deliver one kilogram of usable hydrogen under clearly defined operating conditions. Compare complete system performance, not one number on a specification sheet. A practical route to lower-carbon cement production starts inside the kiln. Hydrogenera’s E-Series produces hydrogen and oxygen on site and integrates both gases into the existing combustion process, helping cement producers explore lower coal use and greater use of alternative fuels. An industrial trial recorded 19.6% lower hourly coal consumption and a higher alternative-fuel share. Clinker quality remained within normal limits, although production output was 3.4% lower during the comparison. Both gases have a role. Hydrogen can influence flame behaviour, while oxygen can support more complete combustion. For cement producers, the opportunity is greater fuel flexibility and reduced dependence on coal. The results reflect gas addition combined with fuel-mix and kiln-setting adjustments. They provide practical evidence for Hydrogenera’s next stage of development, with performance assessed around each plant’s fuels, controls and operating conditions.
