They needed to automate the pressing of a metal insert into a part and then perform a complex, 100% inspection to ensure flawless quality. Challenge: A manual assembly and inspection process was susceptible to human error, required a dedicated operator, and lacked the data tracking needed for modern quality control. Solution: We designed and built a complete, turnkey robotic cell that automates the entire sequence. The system uses a servo-driven shuttle, a pressing station, and a 6-axis robot that presents the part to multiple high-resolution cameras for a comprehensive quality check.
