Alongside this, ArchSD introduced two low-carbon design tools: the Low Carbon Design Flow Framework and the Low Carbon Design Toolkit, facilitating the low-carbon transformation of Hong Kong’s built environment. The team was praised by the GBA 2025 Jury Panel for their vision and diligent research in developing a low-carbon building design toolkit and a Carbon Neutrality Strategic Framework. The first tool provides a concise guide to emerging multi-disciplinary strategies, along with estimates of potential carbon emission savings. The second tool enables designers to systematically integrate low-carbon design and instantly assess the carbon performance of their projects. The transformative potential of the 3A strategy and its associated design tools was highly recognised, affirming their capacity to meaningfully advance the industry's journey towards carbon neutrality.
