🌾 35,500 tons of wheat on its way! At HHLA TK Estonia, our logistics hub in the Baltic, we recently loaded 35,500 tons of Estonian grown wheat onto a vessel bound for export markets. The ship arrived from the Netherlands and spent four days at our terminal. Our Mantsinen material handler lifted 5–7 tons per lift, moving this high-deck vessel’s cargo efficiently and safely. As Estonia’s largest warehouse operator, HHLA TK Estonia provides 86,500 m² of covered storage, including 54,000 m² for bulk goods, enabling up to 220,000 tons of simultaneous dry storage. With an annual handling capacity of up to 1,000,000 tons of general and bulk cargo, we’re proud to keep essential commodities moving through the Baltic gateway. #HHLA #ThePowerofNetworks #HHLATKEstonia

Have you ever seen two containers floating through the air at the same time? 👀 If the ship's stowage plan allows it, two containers can be unloaded at the same time. This is called twin loading. Our Container Terminal Burchardkai in Hamburg is equipped with three berths that can accommodate ultra-large container vessels (ULCVs) with a capacity of up to 24,000 TEU. 😮 To optimally serve these huge ships, we use tandem container gantry cranes, which enable two 40-foot or four 20-foot containers to be handled simultaneously in a single movement. #HHLA #ThePowerofNetworks

More Flexibility for E-Trucks in the Port of Hamburg 🚚⚡ We are strengthening our commitment to climate-friendly logistics by introducing full slot flexibility for e-trucks at our Hamburg container terminals - initially as part of a pilot phase running until mid-2026. During this period, electric trucks can be handled at any time during the booked day, without being bound to a fixed time window. This added flexibility helps our transport partners better align their charging needs with operational schedules, making the shift to electric heavy-duty transport more practical and efficient. The introduction of flexible slots is a direct step in supporting the electrification of transport – not only across the market, but also within HHLA. Our subsidiaries METRANS and CTD are already expanding the use of e-trucks in their fleets, demonstrating how greener transport solutions can work in day-to-day operations. 🌱 #HHLA #ThePowerofNetworks #SustainableLogistics

Join us today at our rail terminal in Budapest, a key hub on the Silk Road. The terminal, operated by our subsidiary METRANS Group, covers 163,500 m² alongside the river Danube. 🚆The rail terminal started its operation in 2017 with 50 employees, two gantry cranes and four reach stackers. Today 180 employees handle 12 to 14 trains per day with four portal cranes, 10 reach stackers and three forklifts. Six trains can be handled at the same time. The hub offers connections to all the European ports, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Wilhelmshaven, Rotterdam, Rijeka, Koper, but also connects all the other METRANS network terminals, like Dunajska Streda, Belgrade, or Arad. It’s facilities are completed by an on-site customs office and a container workshop. ☀️ To drive sustainable operations, a solar park was installed in 2023. The energy produced by the plant is used to power almost all systems across the terminal. #HHLA #ThePowerofNetworks #METRANS
