In the past week, BTC made three attempts to break higher. But remained capped by resistance at $94,000 - $95,000 region, consolidating between $90,000 - $92,000. Against this backdrop, the December FOMC meeting on Wednesday night was the key macro event, with the Fed delivering a 25 bps cut and announcing up to $40 billion per month in the Treasury bill purchases, boosting US equities, while weighing on the US dollar. USD/MYR followed suit, breaking below the 4.10 level. 🎅 As for the key question, is the Santa rally still in play for 2025? Historically, the final stretch of the year has been supportive for risk assets, but signals so far have been tentative. That said, we are still early in the seasonal window for 2025. As we head into 2026, the big question on everyone’s mind: Where is BTC heading next? Last week, our Business Advisor, Thierry Tay at an event by InvestingNote and CGS International Securities Malaysia, shared a simple perspective: short-term swings are normal, but a long-term approach matters most. He also highlighted a few shifts that could shape crypto in 2026: - Widespread institutional adoption fueled by further regulatory clarity, altcoin ETF approvals and the rise of Digital Asset Treasury Companies (DATCOs). - Focus on real-world utility - shifting from hype and narrative-driven speculation to prioritising projects that solve practical, real-world problems. - A new market structure driven by macro factors (e.g. Federal Reserve interest rate policies) and institutional flows. No matter how 2026 unfolds, the key for you as an investor is simple: start forming a view on digital assets and consider how they fit into your long term portfolio. Two moves that stood out last week: - Bitcoin held firm to start December (USD 86,000 - USD 90,000) - MYR continued to strengthen against USD. Markets rapidly repriced Federal Reserve expectations with rate cut odds rising after Kevin Hassett widely viewed as the frontrunner for the next Fed Chair suggested that the Fed could cut rates as soon as this week’s FOMC. On the FX side, MYR strengthened against USD for another week to 4.11, supported by improved fiscal sentiment after PM Anwar highlighted a reduction in federal borrowings to about MYR 75 billion, down from MYR 100 billion in 2021. What to watch next: ➡️ The FOMC meeting (9–10 Dec) is the key event to watch, as any hint of earlier rate cuts could boost risk assets, including Bitcoin Learn more about our funds here: https://lnkd.in/gr-YtbHj 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘢. Bitcoin bounced back last week, rising about 4% and moving back above USD 88,000 — even briefly crossing USD 90,000. Supporting the rebound, ETF flows improved meaningfully: ➡️ BTC spot ETFs saw USD 70.5M of net inflows (the first positive week since late October). ➡️ ETH ETFs recorded a stronger USD 312.6M. What to watch next: ➡️ Bitcoin’s key support zone: USD 86.5–88k — strongest demand area with positive spot flows and short-term holder capitulation ➡️ Key macro data this week (PCE, ADP, PMIs, sentiment) will determine if the Fed stays on track for a December cut. 🔗 Learn more about our funds here: https://lnkd.in/gj64G7ei 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘢. What is the right strategy to invest in digital assets in today’s market? It’s one of the most common questions we get. Even during our recent webinar on digital asset taxation. The answer starts with knowing what you want to achieve as an investor. Here are three key questions to ask yourself: 1. What are my personal goals? Your investment approach should match your objectives, whether it’s long-term growth, diversification, or building passive income. 2. Am I thinking long term? Digital assets can be volatile, but patience pays off. Even a small, consistent allocation held over time can lift your overall portfolio performance. 3. How do I handle market swings without reacting emotionally? Never go all in. When you invest with discipline, short-term market noises become less stressful, and long-term results speak for themselves. The best part? You don’t have to figure it all out alone. 👉 Explore how Halogen Capital can help you invest confidently: https://lnkd.in/gCWQh5JJ 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘢.
