Guiding Light

We launched our Heritage Society! Last week, Guiding Light unveiled a new wall honoring supporters who have included Guiding Light in their estate plans. We had a reception, plaque reveal ceremony, and lunch with our participants, staff, board of directors, and new Heritage Society members. Planned gifts strengthen the foundation of our mission and support long-term transformation for men and women seeking a new way forward. Thank you to all who are committed to the long-term transformation of our West Michigan community! https://lnkd.in/dqiaar5Z

Here at Guiding Light, we recently celebrated TWO groups of men and women who have achieved one year of abstinence-based sobriety. On August 6th and October 30th, we recognized the new life and transformation that led to this milestone. As Andrew, one of the honorees, addressed the crowd of over 200 people there to support, he shared: “There’s not enough I can say about what this program does for people. The fact that it’s completely possible because of the donors of this city is remarkable.” Click the link in the comments to read more! Pictured below are the five program graduates we celebrated on Thursday!

Check out our segment on today's FOX 17 : WXMI TV Morning Mix! Our Director of Operations, Brian Spyke, and our Women's Program Director, Tori Grennan, share the details of our upcoming community 5k this Saturday as well as the impact fitness can have on addiction recovery. Nearly 100 women gathered with us to celebrate the launch of the Guiding Light Women’s Collective. The Women’s Collective is a community of women who believe every woman deserves the opportunity to heal from addiction. Together, we're building relationships, increasing awareness, and supporting the women in Guiding Light’s Women’s Recovery Program. Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared their hearts, and helped make the evening so meaningful. We're excited to see this community grow as more women come alongside our mission of helping women find hope, healing, and lasting recovery. Learn more and join us. https://lnkd.in/gE-9BPCj
