🎥 A few seconds straight from our joint sales meeting in early September. We looked at where we want to take GU next. Colleagues shared their hands-on experience and spoke openly about what we could do better. We know that the people who deal with customers every day are the ones who see best what works in practice. That is why we want them to help shape the direction of the company. 🤝 Thank you all for your openness.

🌲 A forest slope, a wooden wall and waist-deep water. That was the course for the kids at Kolon Race Junior in Kolíňany near Nitra, Slovakia, in September. They handled it on their own. We added 70 gift packs as prizes. 🤝 Thanks to the village of Kolíňany for organising the race. These kids will one day build and lead what we are building today. We were glad to support them.

🔐 On our page, you usually see us on the learning side of a training session. This time we ran one: our colleagues trained the team at Slovaktual, a window and door maker from Pravenec, Slovakia. Slovaktual now holds a GU licence for burglar-resistant PVC doors in classes RC 2 and RC 2N. The training covered everything these doors depend on: construction, choosing and fitting the glass, hardware and installation. 💡 Why is training a condition? A licensed manufacturer does not have to send its doors for its own resistance tests. It relies on tests the GU system has already passed at an independent test institute. Although we normally present in front of a lot of people, talking about ourselves is something else entirely. Our managers completed the Epic Speak - The Power of Speech training, focused on practical training in communication and presentation skills. They focused not only on what we say, but also on how we act - our attitude, gestures, facial expressions and voice work. 🎤 One of the tasks was to stand in front of colleagues and talk about their hobbies. At the same time, the other colleagues carefully followed the speech, attitude, and gestures. 👀 It brought us all the realization that even though we had already presented many times in the company and outside it, in front of a lot of people, it was very strange to talk about ourselves. And this despite the fact that my colleagues and I have known each other for years. When presenting professional topics, we feel confident - we know the topic, the product. But when we have to talk about ourselves, suddenly we ourselves are the object of attention. 💡 And maybe that's why sometimes the biggest challenge is to step out of the comfort zone not in front of strangers, but in front of those who know us well.

🤝 When experience comes together, new opportunities emerge. We were delighted to welcome our colleagues from GU DE and our partner agency, Volis International. In-person meetings are always enriching—they bring fresh ideas, inspiration, and exciting challenges. This time, we focused on setting new goals and shaping the future direction of our company’s marketing. 🇸🇰 🇩🇪 We greatly appreciate the support of our parent company in Ditzingen and see strong potential in our ongoing collaboration—not only in business, but in marketing as well. 💡 Together, we explored new visions and opportunities to further boost both brand awareness and employer branding, sharing our brand with those who already know us and those who are just about to discover us.
