Most "incident management" tools are built for the half of the job that isn't the emergency. They handle rosters, on-call lists and scheduled maintenance beautifully. The planned week. But when a substation fails or a pipe bursts, the plan you built this morning is already useless. The question is no longer how the week looks. It's who is nearest, who holds the right authorisation, and where the equipment is, right now. That second mode, the unplanned minute, is where most critical infrastructure operations have a gap. And it's the mode that decides whether response capability holds or breaks. Read our guide on the two modes of critical incident management, why field operations are uniquely hard, and the six things that actually matters. 👇 https://lnkd.in/eMtX_zfB When something goes wrong in your operation, how do you find out who is nearest, qualified and free? #CriticalInfrastructure #FieldOperations #IncidentManagement #GSFleetResponse

Ten years ago, Omexom Norway started using GSFleet for mileage logging and tax reporting. Today it does something far more strategic: their grid operator customers log into the fleet view directly to see which resources are free and where they are, in real time. For a turnkey energy contractor in the Vinci Energies group, that visibility matters most when a fault hits the power grid. As Per Skofteland, Operations and Procurement Coordinator at Omexom Norway, puts it: "For our customers, it is critically important that our employees can indicate whether they are available in a fault or crisis situation, and that our customers know where the resources are located." Now Omexom is the first customer piloting GSFleet Response, our new emergency preparedness solution. Response lets technicians change their availability status straight from a mobile app, in the moment, from wherever they are. No phone tree, no delay. When a grid operator needs to find and deploy the right resource, Response makes that faster and clearer.
