𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐢𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐇&𝐏 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐠 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐭4𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫™ 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥 Green Therma has awarded the drilling rig contract for the Aalborg Heat4Ever™ demonstration project to H&P (Helmerich & Payne), the world's largest onshore drilling contractor, with Rig T203 selected to drill the project's geothermal well. The well is planned to reach approximately 4 km vertical depth, followed by a horizontal section of around 3 km, with spudding targeted for January 2027. Developed in collaboration with Aalborg Forsyning as heat off-taker, the EUDP-backed project will demonstrate Heat4Ever™ technology and pave the way for 30 years of geothermal district heating for delivery to Aalborg, Denmark. For Green Therma, this is where Heat4Ever™ moves from engineering to execution. "We've been designing the Heat4Ever™ solution as a full-scale product with one clear ambition: to make deep geothermal energy scalable and commercially viable wherever heat is needed. Selecting the drilling rig partner for Aalborg turns that ambition into reality. We're delighted to have H&P alongside us as we prepare to drill what will be Denmark's longest geothermal well." Jorgen Peter Rasmussen, CEO and Founder, Green Therma For H&P, the project is an opportunity to apply deep-drilling expertise to one of Denmark's most ambitious geothermal wells. "Drilling a well of this depth requires the right people, the right rig and the right execution. This project is exactly the kind of technically demanding challenge where H&P can make a real difference, and we're pleased to continue our collaboration with Green Therma as we work together to demonstrate the potential of deep geothermal energy." John Bell, Executive Vice President, International Land, H&P Delivering this well safely, on time, and on budget will be about much more than just one project. It will demonstrate to the European district heating industry Heat4Ever™ in action: an industrial, highly efficient deep geothermal heat solution designed to reduce risk, decarbonize heat production, and deliver reliable renewable heat for decades. We look forward to working with H&P and taking the project to spud in January 2027. #Geothermal #EnergyTransition #DistrictHeating #CleanEnergy

It requires experienced leaders who know how to develop, secure, and deliver complex infrastructure projects in partnership with public and private stakeholders across Europe. We are proud to welcome Angelika Zartl-Klik as President, Green Therma Europe. With more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in the European energy sector, Angelika has a proven track record of developing and delivering large-scale geothermal projects in partnership with utilities, municipalities, and industrial customers. Her experience navigating complex permitting processes, securing public and private support, and establishing the financing needed to bring projects to delivery will help accelerate the execution of Green Therma's growing European project pipeline. This combination of commercial and regulatory expertise will be instrumental as Green Therma continues to expand. Based in Vienna, Angelika will lead Green Therma's European activities, helping convert our fast-growing pipeline into bankable, executable geothermal projects. Jorgen Peter Rasmussen, CEO, President & Founder of Green Therma, commented: "Technology creates opportunity – but execution creates real value. Angelika brings a rare combination of technical excellence, commercial insight, strategic leadership, and the ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects at scale. She strengthens Green Therma's ability to accelerate geothermal deployment across Europe and marks an important milestone in our international growth. I am delighted that Angelika has chosen to join Green Therma, and I look forward to realizing our ambitious plans for Europe." Angelika will join Green Therma on 1 September 2026, and we look forward to welcoming her to the team. Commenting on her appointment, Angelika said: "I am excited to lead Green Therma's European organization and contribute to accelerating the growth of geothermal energy across Europe. When I first met Green Therma, I immediately saw the potential of a solution that could be deployed more like an industrial product, enabling faster, more scalable implementation than traditional geothermal developments. I strongly believe in geothermal energy – particularly its role in decarbonizing heat – and joining Green Therma felt like the perfect match. I look forward to working with customers, partners, and stakeholders across Europe." #EnergyTransition #GeothermalEnergy #IndustrialDecarbonization

Jakob has served as CEO of Rio Tinto and held senior leadership positions at A.P. Moller-Maersk, Shell, and ISS. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated how innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence can drive both growth and long-term impact. For Green Therma, his decision to join our Board reflects the strength of our technology, our team, and the opportunity ahead. We founded Green Therma with the ambition to unlock geothermal energy's full potential. Our team has developed a new generation of closed-loop geothermal technology designed to overcome many of the risks and limitations that have historically constrained geothermal deployment, enabling sustainable energy solutions in locations where conventional geothermal systems are not viable. As we move from technology development into commercialization and international expansion, we could not ask for a stronger partner. "Jakob's decision to join Green Therma is a powerful endorsement of our technology, our people, and our vision. For a company at our stage, attracting a leader of his caliber sends a strong signal about the potential of what we are building”, says Jorgen Peter Rasmussen, Founder & CEO. We are excited about what lies ahead and look forward to working closely with Jakob as we continue building Green Therma into a globally significant clean energy company. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Carl-Emil Larsen for his dedicated leadership as Chairman. Carl-Emil has played an instrumental role in Green Therma's development, helping to strengthen the company during an important phase of our journey. We are very pleased that Carl-Emil will continue as a member of the Board, where his extensive experience in geology, the utility sector, and strategic leadership will remain a valuable asset to Green Therma.
