Hands-on learning fueled big wins this past week: edible penne creations, slithering paper snakes, and marshmallow engineering feats. 🙌🔥 Need Enrichment Support? https://lnkd.in/gKHtQKfp When kids get to make things with their hands, they discover what they’re capable of: students cooked, crafted, engineered, and problem-solved their way through joyful classes past week: 🍝 Mini Chefs explored edible creativity with penne skewers they proudly built (and devoured!) 🐍 Animal Art Adventure had artists designing paper-garland snakes with plenty of personality 🔥 Tasty Time turned fruit and marshmallows into towers, critters, and even a tiny campfire The best part wasn’t the projects themselves. It was the problem-solving, the teamwork, and the "I’m actually really good" at this moments. Confidence grows when kids make things with their own hands - and this week, it soared. 💙

Holiday magic is officially here - and our classrooms are bursting with curiosity, creativity, and gratitude. 🍂✨ Book discovery call: https://lnkd.in/gtqYPxbM The holiday season is officially in full swing at Grasshopper Kids, and our classrooms are buzzing with festive magic. From spooky Halloween edible arrangements to cozy autumn explorations, our teachers are sprinkling joy and curiosity like confetti (don’t worry, we clean up the classrooms after!). This time of year, our teachers guide kids through stories of gratitude - the traditions and celebrations that connect us across cultures and seasons. Through one-time workshops, full-day camps during Fall conferences and in-service days, school-day-off programs, and our Rangers in the Classroom initiative, kids explore history, nature, and culture with wonder and respect. In this season of gratitude, we’re grateful for the incredible teachers who bring learning to life - and for the families and schools who trust us to be part of your children’s journey. Together, we’re creating memories, confidence, and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. 💚

The shutdown is over and Rangers are returning to the parks. Can you guess how many Rangers in the Classroom experiences we led during the closure? 🌲✨ Book Winter Enrichment: https://lnkd.in/gANx4f4e Book a Ranger Visit: https://lnkd.in/gRC5FXXZ When the shutdown hit, rangers suddenly found themselves furloughed, parks closed, and their regular work on pause. So we did what Grasshopper Kids does best - we brought extraordinary educators straight into classrooms. Over the past six weeks, Rangers in the Classroom turned into something powerful: More than 40 classroom visits and assemblies led by real park rangers, sharing conservation, history, and hands-on learning with students who absolutely lit up. Schools moved quickly. Rangers showed up with heart and kids were captivated from the first minute. While the parks were closed, these rangers found purpose and connection in teaching - many even told us they want to keep working with Grasshopper on their off days now that they’re returning to the trails. That says everything about the impact they made. The shutdown is over. Parks are reopening. And the 40+ ranger-led classroom experiences they created will stick with students for a long time. If your school needs winter enrichment support or wants more real-world experiences like this, Grasshopper is ready to jump in! Last week had it all: art magic, musical mayhem, and nachos that deserved their own spotlight. 🌮✨ Book Discovery Call: https://lnkd.in/gsWrHM53 In Magical Creations Art Adventure, Teacher Aya turned an ordinary afternoon into a crafty escape – yarn, color, and imagination all woven into one seriously joyful project. 🎨 Over in Music Montage, Teacher Rochelle brought the seasonal energy with hello songs, name-rhythm chants, Kodály fun, and a pumpkin-themed music game that had kids moving like mini maestros. 🎶🎃 And because creativity tastes better with snacks… Aya’s Cooking With Friends crew chopped tomatoes, avocados, and cilantro with the kind of focus Top Chef wishes it had. A little improv, a lot of flavor, and maximum kid-pride when the nachos hit the plate. 🥑🔥 Here’s the real magic: Behind every moment is a Grasshopper teacher who shows up prepared, passionate, and ready to turn learning into an adventure. We don’t aim for “good programs.” We aim for unforgettable ones - the kind kids talk about all week, recreate at home, and remember years later. Because when teachers bring the spark, kids can’t help but shine. 💚

From the woods to the front page, 🗞️the LA Times just featured Rangers in the Classroom! Article Link: https://lnkd.in/gxkre8k7 Two weeks ago, we launched Rangers in the Classroom, connecting furloughed park rangers with schools to lead live environmental education sessions during the government shutdown. The response has been nothing short of incredible: 💚 34+ assemblies and classroom visits already held, with more happening daily 🤠 Rangers have found the work both meaningful and essential, and want to keep teaching with Grasshopper after they return to their parks 🎒 Schools, parents, and especially kids have loved welcoming these remarkable educators into their classrooms 🗞️ The LA Times story captured the spirit of this initiative, and Grasshopper’s mission, perfectly To everyone who’s helped spread the word - thank you. You’ve helped rangers keep teaching and earning, and helped kids keep learning, while parks are closed. Extraordinary teachers and learning kids love is what makes Grasshopper Kids hop 💚 If your school hasn’t yet hosted a session, we’d love to help make it happen. 👉 Learn more and Book a Ranger: https://lnkd.in/gb5tWi6b 📸 Photo credit: Paul Kuroda, LA Times 📝 Article by Jenny Gold
