One automotive OEM cut its direct-ship empty-return cycle from 7.0 days to 2.1, and total D&D and chassis spend from $613 to $304 per container. That is about $900,000 saved over 18 months. We built the workflow so your team can see who has each container, when free time ends, and whether the empty has been returned, with automated reminders to the consignee until empty gate-in is confirmed and recovery tasks for the ones that stall.

One Gnosis user cut demurrage and detention 62%, from $707 to $267 per container, while import volume more than doubled. We built D&D Alarms as an exception queue rather than another container-by-container status check. Red means a container is already incurring charges, yellow means it is getting close, and opening any row shows the free-time clock and the dollars behind the alert. Your team narrows the list to the containers that need somebody, even as volume grows.

A $510 detention bill went to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and on July 8, 2026, the court sided with the FMC, unanimously. Detention charges must work as financial incentives to promote freight fluidity, and a charge cannot do that when the gates are closed. Shippers and truckers now have firmer ground to dispute charges that serve no purpose. The dispute still rests on the record, and Gnosis keeps that record on every container: gate times, free-time terms, holds, and the clock.

A global tire importer put 1,000+ hours a year back into its logistics team. The team was spending about 20 hours a week opening arrival notices, finding pickup numbers, and keying them into CLM. We built the workflow so Gnosis reads the arrival notice, posts the pickup number when it is confident, and sends it to the assigned trucker. Anything missing or uncertain goes to your team's review queue, so people look only at the records that need a person.

A global tire OEM shortened its plant-to-DC cycle by an average of 8 days, 19% of baseline transit time. Across 10,125 shipments and 15 months, all 9 factory-to-DC lanes improved, and the strongest lane took out 15 days. We built Gnosis to timestamp every container from Goods Issued to Goods Received and lay planned milestones beside live ones, so your team can see which leg is adding time and act before a few lost hours become lost days.

Gnosis customers cut demurrage charges 81% and detention 64% on average within their first 12 months. We built D&D Alarms to combine live container milestones with your negotiated free-time terms, calculate the fee exposure on each box, and flag at-risk containers 24 to 48 hours before charges begin. Your team works the highest-cost exceptions first instead of checking carrier portals, spreadsheets, and emails one container at a time.
