Most firms have the pieces, few have connected them. A website, published content, campaigns, a CRM with thousands of contacts. Each piece generates activity, none of it builds toward anything a salesperson can actually use. The GK3 Capital Digital Operating Model is one connected system, five components, where every piece has a job and every piece connects to the others: - Strategy - Technology - Infrastructure - Content - Distribution That's the difference between doing marketing and growing. It's the system behind 100+ financial services firms and $60B+ in AUM. Our CEO, John Gulino, breaks it down and shows how to see if it fits your firm.

Financial services buyers don't make decisions in a meeting, they make them over time. By the time a prospect reaches out, 80% of the buying decision has already happened, before their first meeting or their first call. Most firms have a website, publish content, run campaigns, and have a CRM with thousands of contacts. But the content team doesn't talk to the sales team. The campaigns aren't feeding the pipeline. Each piece generates activity. None of it builds toward anything a salesperson can actually use. Our CEO, John Gulino, breaks down the GK3 Capital Digital Operating Model. The system behind 100+ financial services firms and $60B+ in AUM, and how to see if it's a fit for your firm.

A factsheet tells an advisor what a fund holds and how it has performed. That's the question they ask after they've already decided you're worth twenty minutes, not before. Mutual fund marketing calendars are filled with factsheets, quarterly commentaries, one-pagers, all being sent to the same advisors every month. The problem is none of that is designed to create interest, they’re for someone who’s already interested. Advisors allocating to an actively managed fund are making a bet on human judgment. If your marketing doesn't make the team and the process visible, you're giving them nothing to evaluate. Who you reach matters as much as what you say. There are advisors who could allocate to your fund right now and advisors actively researching your category right now. Those are the people worth focusing on, not the full database. Firms who have made the change are growing while their category shrinks, while the ones sending factsheets are still waiting for the market to turn. Colby Connor has been in enough of these conversations to know what works. Something lands in your social feed and before you've even read the first line, you already know it's trying to sell you something. We all feel it. It's something we call the “flinch.” Ryan spent years on the other side of that flinch without knowing it. He always hit his numbers, but something about it always felt slightly off and he never had the words to explain why. Then he came across They Ask You Answer (book), and it all clicked, putting into words that feeling he’s had all along. 80% of the buying decision happens before anyone ever talks to you. The people who earn trust during that window aren’t selling, they’re teaching. That changed everything about how Ryan approached marketing. Not so much the tactics he was using, but when to show up and what to say. Educating instead of pitching.
