The orphan drug rulebook is changing. Are manufacturers ready? In Issue 3 of The Vector, we asked 15 payers across France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK how the EU General Pharmaceutical Legislation reform could reshape orphan medicine development, assessment and launch. The message is clear: While most payers don’t expect their HTA methods to change, they do expect manufacturer strategy to change substantially. This issue explores what that means for indication strategy, evidence expectations, pricing and early JCA and HTA engagement - and why the decisions shaping orphan medicine launches are moving earlier than many manufacturers expect. We also take a closer look at how payer perspectives differ across Europe and the growing tension between EU pharmaceutical reform and US MFN pricing. Read Issue 3 of The Vector to explore what European payers are expecting - and what it could mean for the future of orphan medicine strategy: https://lnkd.in/ddbU-EFK #OrphanDrugs #RareDiseases #EUPharma #HTA #MarketAccess #LifeSciences

The RPR™ Global Stakeholder Network and Radiopharmaceutical Therapy (RPT). Radiopharmaceutical therapies are transforming oncology by combining targeted tumor delivery with radioactive compounds that can be used for both diagnosis and treatment. However, alongside their clinical potential, they introduce a distinct set of market access considerations that extend beyond traditional reimbursement questions. These require perspectives from across the healthcare ecosystem, including medical oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, radiopharmacists, hospital administrators, and payers. Robert Hutcheson, Director, Access & Pricing, commented: "Radiopharmaceutical therapies introduce access considerations that are often unique to the modality. Alongside reimbursement, organisations need to understand factors such as treatment sequencing, site readiness, imaging and dosimetry requirements, radiopharmacy logistics, and healthcare system capacity. Drawing on perspectives from across the stakeholder ecosystem can help build a more complete picture of the opportunities and challenges that may affect adoption." Through the RPR™ Global Stakeholder Network, Genesis Research Group provides access to more than 3,500 vetted stakeholders across 65+ countries, including payers, healthcare professionals, administrators, and specialist KOLs selected to address specific market access, evidence generation, pricing, and adoption questions. For radiopharmaceutical therapies, this includes pre-screened experts with experience across tumor types and healthcare systems. Trusted by pharmaceutical and biotech companies for more than 10 years, the RPR™ Stakeholder Network helps clients connect with the perspectives that matter most, from payers and beyond.
