Multi-Cancer Early Detection at a Turning Point: What Comes Next? Multi-cancer detection, or MCD, is being evaluated as a new approach to screening for multiple cancer types through a single blood test. Often described in the screening setting as multi-cancer early detection, or MCED, the field has now reached an important U.S. FDA regulatory milestone, bringing both its potential - and the evidence needed to support the promise of “early” detection - into sharper focus. We are honored to welcome Prof. Umberto Malapelle, President of the International Society of Liquid Biopsy and Chair of the Predictive Molecular Pathology Laboratory at the University of Naples Federico II, as Co-Chair and Speaker at the Gene Solutions Industry Satellite Symposium during ESMO - European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026. Presentation topic: Clinical Challenges with Multi-Cancer Early Detection Tests: Unmet Needs and Lessons for Next-Generation Approaches in Precision Oncology “Multi-cancer early detection is reaching an important turning point, with the potential to become a new category in cancer screening. First-generation of data have shown both the promise of MCED and the challenges that remain, particularly in detecting cancer at its earliest stages, understanding performance across cancer types, and guiding the diagnostic pathway after a positive result. The next generation must build on these lessons through stronger biological signals, robust clinical validation, and clear integration with established screening.” Join Prof. Umberto Malapelle as he opens the symposium with an expert perspective on the clinical challenges facing current MCED tests, the evidence shaping regulatory and clinical discussions, and the lessons guiding next-generation approaches in precision oncology. 👇 Gene Solutions Industry Satellite Symposium ▪️Topic: AI-Enabled Multi-omic Liquid Biopsy Across the Cancer Care Continuum: From Technological Innovation to Scalable Clinical Implementation ▪️Date: Friday, 23 October 2026 ▪️Time: 09:45–11:15 CEST ▪️Location: Salamanca Auditorium, Hall 10 🔗 Register now to stay up to date with the latest scientific insights from Gene Solutions’ Industry Satellite Symposium at ESMO Congress 2026: https://lnkd.in/gWq27EKW 🔗 ESMO session link: https://lnkd.in/dGWkW9Um #ESMO26 #LiquidBiopsy #MCED #PrecisionOncology #GeneSolutions This non-promotional medical educational symposium is organized and funded by Gene Solutions for healthcare professionals only.

Decoding Tumor-Immune Interactions Through Multi-Omic Signals The future of precision oncology depends not only on identifying genomic alterations, but also on understanding how tumor biology interacts with the immune system. At the Gene Solutions Industry Satellite Symposium during ESMO - European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026, Prof. Aya El Helali of The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, will explore how multi-omic signals can deepen our understanding of cancer biology and support immunogenetic discovery. Presentation topic: The Role of Multi-Omic Signals for Next Generation Precision Oncology and Immunogenetic Discovery “The next frontier of precision oncology lies in deciphering the complex interplay between tumor biology and the immune system. By integrating genomic, transcriptomic, and immunogenetic information, multi-omic profiling can help characterize neoantigen profiles, the tumor microenvironment, and immune checkpoint expression. These deeper insights may open new directions for biomarker discovery and more personalized therapeutic strategies.” Drawing on ongoing research and multi-omic analyses, Prof. Aya El Helali will discuss how immunogenetic insights may contribute to biomarker discovery, therapeutic research, and the next generation of precision oncology. Join Prof. Aya El Helali for a forward-looking discussion on how deeper molecular intelligence can help reveal the relationship between tumor biology and the immune system, bringing precision oncology closer to more individualized therapeutic strategies. 👇Gene Solutions Industry Satellite Symposium ▪️Topic: AI-Enabled Multi-omic Liquid Biopsy Across the Cancer Care Continuum: From Technological Innovation to Scalable Clinical Implementation ▪️Date: Friday, 23 October 2026 ▪️Time: 09:45–11:15 CEST ▪️Location: Salamanca Auditorium, Hall 10 🔗 Register now to stay up to date with the latest scientific insights from Gene Solutions’ Industry Satellite Symposium at ESMO Congress 2026: https://lnkd.in/gWq27EKW 🔗 ESMO session link: https://lnkd.in/dGWkW9Um #ESMO26 #PrecisionOncology #MultiOmics #Immunogenetics #Neoantigens #TumorMicroenvironment #CancerResearch #GeneSolutions This non-promotional medical educational symposium is organized and funded by Gene Solutions for healthcare professionals only.

Liquid Biopsy in Practice: Real-World Evidence from Asia How is liquid biopsy moving from scientific innovation into real-world cancer care? At the Gene Solutions Industry Satellite Symposium during ESMO - European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026, Prof. Herbert Loong, MBBS FRCP FASCO of The Chinese University of Hong Kong will share clinical evidence and experience from Asia on the expanding applications of multi-omic liquid biopsy for patients with cancer. With internationally recognized expertise in thoracic oncology, sarcoma, experimental therapeutics, and health economics, Prof. Loong brings a practical perspective on how molecular profiling and longitudinal ctDNA monitoring can support clinical decisions across the cancer journey. “Tissue remains central to cancer diagnosis, but it provides a snapshot in space and time that may not fully capture tumor heterogeneity. Liquid biopsy can complement tissue profiling across applications, from longitudinal ctDNA monitoring for molecular residual disease and treatment response to the detection of emerging resistance mutations over time. Published studies and real-world experience from Asia are helping us understand how multi-omic liquid biopsy technologies can enable more precise and broader detection while remaining accessible at scale. Stay tuned for more on what I’ll be sharing at the ESMO Industry Satellite Symposium.” Join Prof. Loong for practical insights into expanding access to high-precision liquid biopsy across diverse healthcare settings. 👇 Gene Solutions Industry Satellite Symposium ▪️Topic: AI-Enabled Multi-omic Liquid Biopsy Across the Cancer Care Continuum: From Technological Innovation to Scalable Clinical Implementation ▪️Date: Friday, 23 October 2026 ▪️Time: 09:45–11:15 CEST ▪️Location: Salamanca Auditorium, Hall 10 🔗 Register now to stay up to date with the latest scientific insights from Gene Solutions’ Industry Satellite Symposium at ESMO Congress 2026: https://lnkd.in/gNAtBb5D 🔗 ESMO session link: https://lnkd.in/dGWkW9Um #ESMO26 #LiquidBiopsy #MCED #PrecisionOncology #GeneSolutions
