#Neutrophils are known as the body’s first responders and co-ordinators of immune defense. But do they play a more malignant role in #cancer progression? Recent discoveries reveal that immature neutrophils do not just accumulate in primary and metastatic tumors. They also actively suppress anti-tumor immunity, limiting the effectiveness of immunotherapies. GemPharmatech is proud to host 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗶, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, who will present groundbreaking research on how distinct immature neutrophil subsets fuel #tumor growth and metastasis, and how novel therapeutic strategies can restore immunity and enhance checkpoint inhibitor response. Key topics include: ✔️ Neutrophil Heterogeneity in Cancer: dominance of immature subsets in primary and metastatic tumors. ✔️ Mechanisms of Immune Suppression: CD63/Galectin-3+ neutrophils in primary tumors and Ckap4+ subsets in bone metastases. ✔️ Therapeutic Interventions: Flt3L-induced trans-differentiation and DKK1 blockade to restore T-cell function and enhance checkpoint inhibitor therapy. ✔️ Next-generation Models: human immune system (HIS) mouse models with peripheral human neutrophil engraftment.
