💚 10 principles we use to build reliable AI CFO 💚 1. All the data in one warehouse — clean and ready for AI. We take all your data from 300+ sources like QuickBooks, Stripe, HubSpot, banks, payroll, etc. 2. Accuracy > 1-click. Training agents using your data, not just general data. In finance AI to have the highest accuracy — less is more. 3. Human-backed. Trained on thousands of founder↔CFO questions and continuously validated by our in-house finance team. 4. Full transparency. Data Limitation Disclaimer shows the quality score (e.g., 40/100) and marks insights as directional until validated. 5. Proactive anomaly checks. Fuel flags issues the moment they appear (missing dates, mismatched invoices, odd entries) — before they become bad answers. 6. Root-cause + actions tips. When something drifts off target, Copilot explains why it happened and gives a clear fix-it playbook you can follow. 7. Built for your industry. SaaS, agencies, ecommerce, consulting — knows the metrics and benchmarks that matter. 8. Decision safeguards. When data is thin, Copilot widens confidence bands, de-scopes risky analyses, and prompts data-fix steps before action. 9. Auditability, always. Every conclusion is tied to the exact sources, time range, and transformations used — so finance can double-check. 10. One platform. Built into the Fuel FP&A stack (what-ifs, dashboards, alerts) so your planning, analysis, and actions stay consistent. Get early access at https://lnkd.in/gx95mJzt

How will business finances look in two years? This is how I see it… Recently Jason M. Lemkin made a bold prediction: CRMs will become the backend, and agents will be the main interface. You won’t even touch the sales platform directly. You’ll just talk to an agent, and it’ll get things done. Finance is next. Actually, it’s overdue. In two years, here’s where we’ll be: 🟢 AI agents will be main interface. Every company will have AI agents sitting on top of their ERP and FP&A systems. The old infrastructure with the messy spreadsheets, the stitched-together accounting tools will be hidden underneath. The agent will be the front door. You’ll just ask for what you need: How did our margins compare to last quarter? What’s the safest way to improve profitability? Benchmark us against last year’s top performers? 🟢 Finance team’s capacity won’t be bottlenecks anymore. Data won’t be trapped in one department or buried in some analyst’s drive. Suddenly, every founder, every team lead, every board member can act like they have their own personal CFO on call, 24/7. 🟢 No special training. Just clear answers, in plain language, right when you need them. Of course, we’re not there yet. Ask any CFO: AI loves to hallucinate, and clean data is still a battle. Common agents need rules, standards, and expert training otherwise, you get faster bad decisions, not better ones. But we’re building for this future at Fuel. We’ve just introduced Fuel AI CFO that is reliable, accurate, and actually helpful, so founders, and teams can finally get finance out of the back office and into the real-time conversations that drive the business. Fuel AI CFO already do → Instant what-if modeling to evaluate pricing, hiring, and cash-flow impacts. → On-demand dashboards and reports. → Automated board-ready reports. → Real-time anomaly detectiona → Real-time benchmarking → Data quality check score Get early access in the comments. The future of finance isn’t static reports, or yet another dashboard you barely use. The future is where everyone can be a financial analyst talking just plain English. Founder, CFOs, your thoughts?

Big day. For me, for our team, and for every founder who’s lost sleep over the numbers. Fuelfinance is introducing AI CFO. Every founder faces the same pain: You have to decide fast, but you don’t always have the right numbers at your fingertips. That’s when founder’s anxiety kicks in — and mistakes get costly. So we built Fuel AI CFO to end the guesswork and anxiety. From now everyone can be a CFO, or at least financial analyst. I'll be your anti-trend voice saying this: Our AI CFO will NOT replace a human CFO. Boom! Empowering human CFO to be faster, smarter and more efficient — yes. Help everyone in the team be a financial analyst without bothering or making hundreds of requests to the financial team — yes. If you’re hoping for a magic button that runs your whole finance team... sorry. Not happening. Not now, maybe not yet. But here’s how it works: AI CFO is built right into the Fuel FP&A platform as a chat and trained exactly on your data. Not some imaginary, irrelevant numbers. And it’s all about accuracy, not just speed. Instead of guessing, you get: → Run “what if” scenarios on every key decision in seconds. No more waiting a week to know what happens if expenses spike, or if a major customer pays late. → Pull any analysis you need, build a dashboard or report and add it to your finance system in seconds by asking in chat. → Get anomalies alerts to see where you have discrepancies between different data sources. Get recommendations on how to fix them But the thing I’m proudest of — the feature that no one else does: Fuel AI CFO displays a data quality score banner right above every answer. You’ll always know whether it’s a 100% reliable insight based on solid data, a directional finding, or something that needs more data for accurate estimation or prediction. We don’t promise 1-click setup. We promise the right numbers. We’re opening access in waves. Spots are limited for the first release. Join the waitlist for early access: https://lnkd.in/gx95mJzt

I didn’t start Fuel to build “better spreadsheets.” I started it because I’ve seen too many founders have anxiety about managing their finance. I spent 10+ years in finance. Hundreds of financial models. Thousands of reports. Hundreds of thousands of hours talking with entrepreneurs and fixing their financial challenges. I’ve seen founders who: → Haven’t slept because they worry about whether they can pay their bills → Sold their homes to finance their business → Have anxiety because they can’t understand what will happen next month or next quarter → Made awesome projects and got nothing from them financially (yes, no dividends and only unexpected losses) Financial problems don’t just hurt businesses. They destroy lives. And the worst part? Founders face it alone. Here’s what still shocks me: → SMBs drive $5T+ GDP in the US. → Yet 40% of them aren’t profitable. I started Fuel to change that — to help businesses stay profitable, avoid cash gaps, and never have anxiety about finance. That mission keeps me up at night. And yes, saving hours on finance will never be enough for us. Our journey wasn’t pretty. I didn’t even have any background in building products: 💚 Pivot 1: Built on Google Sheets (before “no-code” was even a thing). I didn’t even know what an MVP meant. 💚 Pivot 2: Learned Python over a weekend and bolted it onto our GSheets. We became Google Sheets hackers — the best in the game (we even did GSheets workshops for enterprises). But we were still struggling to build what founders actually needed. 💚 Pivot 3: Built a full finance platform — 300+ integrations, data architecture, financial planning, KPIs, real-time data. But something was still missing. Then AI changed everything. Suddenly, our original vision became possible: Not just automating finance. Actually helping businesses become profitable (!) Democratizing enterprise-level financial management for every founder who can’t afford a CFO. Soon, we launch the next chapter of Fuel. For every founder staring at their bank account at 2 AM. For the 40% fighting to stay profitable. For the ones who refuse to give up. This is for you. While we all have sleepless nights at Fuel before our release, tell me what keeps you awake at night?

If I were a CFO again, this would be my 30-60-90 day playbook. I used to be a CFO. I also used to hire dozens of FP&A managers, CFOs, etc. And you know what separates the great ones? What they do in their first 90 days. Not just what they say. But what they set up. What they prioritize. How they listen. So I wrote the full 30-60-90 day guide I wish I had when I started. Here’s how I’d break it down: 🟢 Phase 0: Before day 1 Goal: Stalking mode activated. Learn everything about the company before you even get the Slack invite. To-do: → Ask the CEO and COO to send you everything: — The latest financial model. — Forecasts and annual/quarterly plans. — The most recent P&L, cash flow statement, and balance sheet — The finance team’s org chart and KPIs — Any strategic docs, pitch decks, investor updates. → Write down every question that pops up. → Learn what the business is trying to achieve — not just what it reports. You’ll walk in more prepared than 90% of CFOs. 🟢 Phase 1: Week 1 Goal: See what’s actually going on and don’t touch anything yet. To-do: → Meet with your CEO. Ask what KPIs for the next quarter and year, what is the key financial goal for founders and the CEO (valuation, cash flow, profitability). Ask about strategic objectives for the business: any plans for M&A, revenue scaling, fundraising, etc? Lunch is better than a Zoom call (I promise you). → Review the full finance stack. What tools do they use? Where are the spreadsheets? What’s broken? How is data consolidated? Gather everything better in a map format (you can use Figma or any other visual tools for that) with data flows, reports, etc. Don’t change anything yet.. Ok, I know this post is getting long… so I've dropped the full 30-60-90 day CFO plan in a Notion doc. If you're interested, please comment and I’ll send it over. And tell me: → What’s one thing you’d want your CFO to do in their first 90 days? (or, if you are a CFO — what’s your go-to move when joining a new company?)
