Zurich, March 2026. A fire breaks out in the battery room of a colocation facility. One power feed shuts down in the racks it serves. Eight days pass before power returns, still without an uninterruptible power #supply (UPS) or generator backup, while the facility completes its inspection. Three months later, the Swiss IT provider hosted there loses #power completely at a second site near Zurich. Storage, virtual machine clusters, monitoring, all down. Full recovery: 29 hours. The pattern behind both isn't about one operator doing something wrong, it's how centralized power architecture behaves everywhere: one battery room, one UPS bank, feeding many racks. When that path fails, there's no fast way to add #capacity back, since a second silicon-based 1200 W supply needs its own rack unit, space that isn't sitting empty for an emergency. Uptime Institute's 2026 outage report confirms why this keeps happening: failures in #UPS systems, transfer switches, and generators remain the leading cause of power-related outages, with roughly 1 in 5 major outages now costing more than $1 million. Gallium Nitride removes that trade-off. Inission Power's new HDP1200 Series packs 1200 W into a footprint that used to take two rack units: 🔹 1200 W regulated output, 24 V or 48 V DC 🔹 94.5 to 95.5% typical efficiency; less heat pulled out of the rack, less thermal stress on everything around it 🔹 1U enclosed housing, 4.2 x 8.1 x 1.6", with its own digitally controlled fan 🔹 Full 1200 W delivered across 180-305 VAC input; operates down to 90 VAC 🔹 Built-in current-share circuitry lets two units run in parallel to scale beyond 1200 W, adding capacity inside the same rack instead of a separate battery room 🔹 Over-temperature, over-voltage, over-current, and short-circuit protection standard 🔹 Medical-grade to IEC 60601-1 (2x MoPP), AV/ITE-rated to IEC/UL 62368-1 🔹 -20°C to 70°C operating range, 5-year warranty 1200 W used to need double the #RackSpace. Not anymore. Inission Power's HDP1200 Series are now available through FORTEC Switzerland AG. Talk to us if you would like to find out how the HDP1200 Series could fit your existing or future projects, we are happy to help (see the meeting link in the comments). ⚡️🛠 Kind regards, Your team FORTEC Switzerland Leading in Power & Displays. For any Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) running industrial equipment, a discontinuation notice from a #display supplier usually means one of two things: an expensive redesign, or a scramble to find "almost compatible" parts that cost more in engineering hours than the component itself. That's exactly what happened when DMC discontinued its well-proven 7" AST-070A080A #touchscreen, a component quietly built into countless machine panels, HMIs, and control systems. For engineering teams who had spent months, sometimes years, validating that exact touchscreen, the news wasn't just an inconvenience. It was a direct threat to production continuity and to systems already certified and shipped to customers. Instead of leaving customers to redesign their housings, re-route their wiring, or requalify a new touch panel from scratch, FORTEC worked directly with DMC to engineer a genuine drop-in successor: the TP-4845S1F0. ✅ 100% mechanically and electrically compatible with the AST-070A080A ✅ Identical mounting dimensions and pin assignment, zero redesign required ✅ Proven 4-wire resistive technology, built for glove operation in demanding industrial environments ✅ USB/RS232 interface with a wide -20°C to +70°C operating range, for reliable use in harsh conditions ✅ Long-term, exclusive availability For machine builders and system integrators, this means one thing: your existing #design stays valid. No new tooling, no re-certification headaches, no lost time. FORTEC Switzerland AG Switzerland is here to help, from technical questions to keeping your supply running long-term. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. (see the meeting link in the comments section). 📺🔁 Kind regards, Your team FORTEC Switzerland Leading in Power & Displays. Since 1979. For years, building a good-looking industrial HMI (Human-Machine Interface) meant the same trade-off: either you pay for a powerful (and expensive) application processor, or you accept a clunky, low-res display driven by an #MCU (Microcontroller Unit) that's already busy doing its real job, running the machine. That trade-off just got a lot smaller. PANASYS DISPLAY has launched a new BT820 EVE series intelligent display module that puts graphics rendering, capacitive touch, and audio processing onto a single onboard #chip, one that talks to your existing MCU over a simple SPI link. Full HD 1920×1080, up to 1920×1200 on large LVDS panels, live video input at 60 fps, and a 16 KB display list rendered straight from external DDR3; all handled directly by the display, outside your host controller. Your MCU stays free to do what it was designed for, control logic, safety interlocks, communication, while the display itself carries the entire #visual load. Where that matters most is across the sectors we serve every day: 🔹 Industrial: HVAC controllers, factory-floor status panels, and building automation dashboards that need to look modern without a BOM increase. 🔹 Transportation: passenger information and control panels where every extra component is a reliability risk. 🔹 Medical: devices that need crisp, responsive touch interfaces without redesigning the whole electronics stack. 🔹 Avionics, Space & Defence: where reducing component count isn't just about cost, it's about reducing points of failure. That's the real shift here: advanced HMI capability is no longer gated behind a bigger, pricier processor. It's becoming a design decision you can make at the #display level. At FORTEC Switzerland AG, we help engineering teams navigate exactly this kind of decision, matching the right display module to the application. Curious whether Panasys' new intelligent display could simplify your next design? We are happy to help you decide (see the meeting link in the comments). 🖥⚡️ Kind regards, Your team FORTEC Switzerland Leading in Power & Displays. Since 1979. Some awards you chase. Others quietly remind you why you do the work. Last week, at Delta Electronics EMEA Partner Event in Trenčín, Slovakia, FORTEC Switzerland received the "Outstanding Growth Partner" #award. We won't pretend it happened on its own, but it does make us proud! It's built from small moments, a customer's engineer who needed one more spec sheet late in the evening, a Delta colleague who tracked down stock when there was none, a project that almost didn't ship in time and did. So today isn't really about the award. It's a thank you, to Delta for a #partnership we don't take for granted, and to every customer who trusted us with their #PowerSupply projects along the way. Grateful, and looking forward to what we build together next. 🔍 Curious what Delta's power solutions can do for your next project? Let's talk! 🏆⚡️ Kind regards, Your team FORTEC Switzerland Leading in Power & Displays. Since 1979.

8 September 2022. Cologne Central Station, around 9 a.m. Water escapes outside one of Germany's busiest rail hubs. It flows into the station and reaches the signal box. Large parts of the signalling #equipment are damaged beyond repair. Firefighters pump out tens of thousands of litres. Long-distance trains are diverted, and rail traffic across North Rhine‑Westphalia is disrupted for days. No storm made headlines. Just #water, in the wrong place, at the wrong time. #Electronics rarely get a warning. So, some are built to expect it. That's the Defiant Future DF150 from Advanced Energy. Water is the loud enemy. Dust is the quiet one. The DF150 keeps out both: 🔹 IP67. It can spend 30 minutes under 1 meter of water. 🔹 Fanless, with partial silicone potting. There is no air intake for rain, dust or condensation to get through. 🔹 Humidity-tested to MIL-STD-810H, 10 aggravated cycles. 🔹 Runs from generator or mains at 115 V or 230 V, 160 W at 27 V. 🔹 Built to move. It is vibration-tested for wheeled and tracked vehicles, helicopters, C-130 transport and equipment carried by soldiers. It is shock-tested to 40 G. 🔹 1.8 kg weight. It operates from -46 °C to +60 °C and up to 50,000 ft. 🔹 MTBF above 100,000 hours, which is about 11 years of continuous operation. 🔹 Certified to MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G. Available in color green, khaki or black. 🔹 A standard catalogue product, so your program gets MIL-STD power without waiting for a custom design cycle. Perfect for defense, industrial, telecom, transportation and energy applications. Curious whether Advanced Energy's DF150 could keep your next system running through rain and dust? FORTEC Switzerland AG is happy to help you decide (see the meeting link in the comments). 🛡⚡️ Kind regards, Your team FORTEC Switzerland Leading in Power & Displays. Since 1979. On 19 August 2026, a storm disabled the cooling plant at an #AI cloud provider's Kansas City #data center. Per the operator's post-mortem: ambient temperature hit 58.5°C within two hours. Servers, switches, and rack #power systems tripped on thermal protection. A third of running virtual machines were interrupted. GPU (graphics processing unit) capacity wasn't confirmed restored until the next morning. No single component broke. The #cooling plant went down, and every rack ran out of thermal margin at once. That's what AI infrastructure margins look like today: the gap between "running" and "shutting itself down" can be two hours wide. Push toward 1 MW, and that gap only shrinks, unless the power architecture changes. The bottleneck isn't just cooling. It's how power reaches the #GPU. A standard 54V bus needs more current for more power, and more current means more resistive heat inside the rack, heat that becomes decisive the moment cooling fails. Advanced Energy's new ADH series targets that link: 🔹 Converts 800V DC to 50V DC at 98.2% peak efficiency 🔹 Up to 8 kW peak power in a standard half-brick footprint 🔹 Over 2,700 W per cubic inch, on a liquid-cooled baseplate 🔹 Pairs with the NDQ bus converter and new Hot Swap Control module for a complete 800V DC path 🔹 Built to connect in parallel and scale toward megawatt AI racks Higher voltage, lower current, less heat, more headroom before a rack has to protect itself. It won't fix a facility's cooling redundancy; that's a separate problem. But it removes one more source of heat from a chain that already runs thinner than most operators assume. So: what's stopping your rack from hitting 1 MW? Talk to us if you would like to find out how ADH series could fit your existing or future #projects, we are happy to help (see the meeting link in the comments). ⚡️🌡 Kind regards, Your team FORTEC Switzerland Leading in Power & Displays.
