🔄𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 How can we make better use of the resources and technologies already available? In the latest Global Food Talk, Arla Foods Ingredients and FOSS share concrete examples of how to improve resource utilisation across the food value chain. Arla Foods Ingredients demonstrates the value of a circular business model by transforming whey, a by-product of cheese production, into high-value nutritional ingredients. This creates a new value chain within the dairy sector, maximising the use of existing raw materials. Luis Cubel discusses how this approach supports nutrition and what it takes to adapt these solutions to different markets. Alongside circular business models, reliable data helps identify opportunities to improve resource utilisation. Christian Rosenkrantz de Lasson from FOSS explains how analytical technologies enable food producers to measure and improve quality, productivity and resource efficiency, and document the results. Two different approaches, but a shared ambition: creating more value from available resources and translating proven solutions into practical improvements across food systems. 🎧 Listen to the full Global Food Talk conversation here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eSiN89ze

⚙️ 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐢-𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Many solutions already exist. The challenge is creating the conditions for them to work at scale. David Laborde, Director of FAO’s Agrifood Economics and Policy Division, highlights that successful transformation requires coherent policies, viable economics, trust and coordination across the entire value chain. Counties can learn from each other, but solutions cannot simply be copied. Solutions need to reflect local realities, be backed by realistic investment and involve the people who operate food systems every day. 🎧In the upcoming podcast episode of Food Nation’s Global Food Talk, marking UN’s World Food Day on 16 October, David shares his perspective on what is needed to scale solutions for food security. 👉 Stay tuned and sign up to receive the new episode in your inbox: https://lnkd.in/eaRRzjAg
