For more than a century, medicine has relied largely on small molecules to manage disease. While these approaches have helped control symptoms, they have rarely addressed disease at its root. Cell-based therapeutics offer a different possibility. What drew our Chief Scientific Officer to fibroblast research is the potential to explore how cells themselves could play a role in addressing chronic disease, not just delaying its progression. This is the future of how science is beginning to think differently. 👉 Follow for more conversations on cell-based research and innovation. #FibroBiologics #CellBasedTherapies #FibroblastResearch #BiotechInnovation #ClinicalResearch #LifeSciences #FutureOfMedicine #MedicalScience #HealthcareInnovation

The thymus is a small organ located behind the breastbone, but its role in immune development is significant. Developing T cells mature within the thymic environment, where they develop the receptors that help the immune system recognize a wide range of potential threats. The challenge is that thymic function naturally declines with age. For FibroBiologics, understanding that process is central to a broader research question: how might thymic biology help us better understand immune aging and longevity? The immune system is not simply about strength. It also depends on education. NASDAQ: FBLG

FibroBiologics is advancing a cell-based approach in which selected cells self-assemble into a thymus organoid within approximately three days. The resulting organoids are matrix-free and cryopreservable, creating new opportunities for preclinical research into T-cell production, thymic function, and immune biology. It is an early-stage area of research, but one that could help expand how scientists study age-related immune decline and regenerative medicine.

The thymus plays a central role in T-cell development, but its function declines over time. FibroBiologics is studying thymus biology, T-cell production, and fibroblast-based organoids as part of its research into immune longevity. Understanding how the immune system changes with age may help open new directions for cell-based research.

The thymus is one of the most important organs most people have never heard of. Rather than serving as a passive gland, the thymus functions as the immune system's training center, educating T cells before they enter circulation. As this organ naturally declines with age, the production of new T cells also changes, contributing to age-related changes in immune function. At FibroBiologics, we're researching thymus biology to better understand immune longevity and healthy aging. NASDAQ: FBLG #FibroBiologics #Immunology #HealthyAging #LifeSciences #Biotechnology
