Choosing a flexibility platform? Fever Energy's buyer's guide shows energy companies what to ask vendors and how to compare the answers. A 12-page guide for commercial and product leads at energy retailers, covering flexibility for both residential and commercial customers. It walks through five areas: one platform for your whole portfolio, stacking value across markets and assets, your brand and your customers, commercial fit, and how to judge value claims, including savings behind the meter as well as earnings in front of it. It ends with tender tips and a vendor scorecard you can use as it is.

Vattenfall launched its home energy management service, Nätverka Batteri, without building the platform underneath it. The platform is provided by Fever Energy. Vattenfall's customers never see the complexity of optimising their battery, and it's meant to stay that way. As Maria Juhlin-Hoff, Head of Vattenfall's Decentralised Energy Solutions Nordics, puts it: "Customers can earn and save money by contributing to a more efficient, stable and sustainable electricity system, without having to get into complex topics like electricity trading, spot prices, demand charges and ancillary services." Vattenfall's customers never meet us, but they're part of every product decision we make. At the end of flexibility there is always a human, so the experience has to work as well as the optimisation. For an energy retailer, that's what makes flexibility safe to offer: a service that runs reliably, scales in a controlled way and keeps its customers' trust. Full press release in the comments.

Fever Energy is the sixth fastest-growing company on the Sifted 100: Nordics! We’re proud to be featured among the region’s fastest-growing startups, ranked by revenue growth. This recognition reinforces why our mission matters: making distributed energy work. We help energy companies launch, run, and scale energy services under their own brand, turning flexibility into a business that pays. Thank you to our team and customers for making this possible. Now we’re looking forward to an exciting autumn ahead.

The gap between top performing optimisers and the market is widening ⚡️ The Clean Horizon revenue benchmark for BESS performance in Sweden continued its downward trend in the first month of the year: 📉 December: 9,200 €/MW 📉 January: 6,000 €/MW For most battery optimisers, this 35% decline would signal significant headwinds, making it harder to realise the business case for their asset owners. Fever, however, has been able to transform these unfavourable conditions into attractive returns. With realised profits exceeding the revenue benchmark by well over 2X, January marks a recurring theme of yet another month of standout trading performance. For BESS owners looking to capture more value, switching optimisers may be the most important decision to make this year. What may seem like a complex process is, in fact, fast and seamless with the right technology and dedicated team. With Fever, your asset can be live and maximising profit in a short time – while we actively avoid revenue losses during the transition period: ✅ Minimised downtime for new prequalifications ✅ Smooth transition without any time outside of the market ✅ Keep your current BRP Get in touch to learn more about how you can benefit from switching optimising partners – link below.

ENERGY LEADERS: Most utility executives are walking right into a trap by purchasing "off-the-shelf" flexibility platforms based on slide decks that promise 3x revenue and a perfectly balanced grid. While you might think you are buying a solution, you are actually purchasing an operational crisis—the customer reviews of the bad flex services already out there speak for themselves. Here is what actually happens when you deploy a generic optimisation tool that ignores the reality of your customer's daily life. An algorithm might decide to cut power to a heat pump to save ten cents during a peak event, but the only thing your customer will notice is that they woke up in a freezing cold house. They aren't going to care about your "virtual power plant" or grid topology; they will just call your support line in anger, wiping out your profit margins before finally switching to a competitor. We need to realise that optimisation without a seamless Customer Experience isn't a feature; it is a bug. If your software leaves an EV uncharged when a user needs to drive to work, or if a "smart" thermostat overrides comfort without permission, you haven't just missed an optimisation target; you have failed the customer. Do not make the mistake of buying a black box that treats your customers like numbers in a spreadsheet, because if the experience isn't perfect, the churn is going to kill you. This is why Fever obsesses over the customer experience on every single level. We know that if the technology doesn't respect the human using it, the technology ultimately fails. https://lnkd.in/dR6eqXAv

ENERGY LEADERS: There is a fundamental misunderstanding in our industry about what an “energy bill” actually represents today. To the Grid Operator, it’s infrastructure recovery. To the Retailer, it’s a commodity margin. But to the modern household, that bottom line is simply a glaring signal of inefficiency. We are seeing a massive shift in consumer psychology. Customers are waking up to the fact that switching providers is a shell game. It doesn’t solve rising tariffs or market volatility. The only way to meaningfully impact their cost base now is through optimisation. This is creating a new market standard. The “Energy Company of the Future” is a hybrid: 1. It supplies the power. 2. It provides the software infrastructure to manage it. By aggregating assets like solar panels and batteries and optimising them, we can shield customers from volatility while creating entirely new revenue streams on flexibility markets. Fever enable energy companies to offer this sophisticated optimisation without losing the customer relationship. You don’t need to build the infrastructure; you just need the resolve to deliver the value. The bill doesn’t have to be a source of anxiety. It can be a receipt for value created. https://lnkd.in/dSqkZDb9
