Anyone who’s run a finance team knows approving an expense isn’t the end of the process. You still have to pay people back! That's why I love our new feature, ExpenseIn Reimbursements. It means approved expenses can now move seamlessly through to payment in ExpenseIn, with the finance team still in control of what gets paid and when. What this means for me is: Less admin, lower reimbursement costs, and less time waiting to get people paid. Great to see this one live. 👏 https://lnkd.in/eddgZwnB

For a long time, we've helped customers get expenses through submission and approval quickly. But paying people back still meant leaving the platform: another system, another bank process, another record to match up later. For finance, that's extra work. For the employee, it's more waiting. Now finance can pay approved expenses without leaving ExpenseIn: → Create a payment run and choose what to pay → Review the details before any money leaves → Run Confirmation of Payee checks to flag bank detail mismatches → Pay from one central pot Every reimbursement stays tied to its original expense and approval, so the record is complete from start to finish. Claim → approval → payment. One connected journey. A lot of work has gone into this one, and I'm really proud of what the team has built. Huge credit to everyone involved 🎉🚀.

🎉 The payment step just moved into ExpenseIn. Our new Reimbursements feature means finance teams can now pay approved expenses directly from ExpenseIn. Create a payment run, choose what to pay, review the details, and complete the payment – without leaving ExpenseIn. One connected journey from claim → approval → payment. Most finance teams bring AI into expenses at fraud detection. By then, most of the manual work has already happened. The bigger gains come earlier: receipt capture, categorisation and verification working together, with every automated decision visible and reviewable. In this free webinar, we'll walk through where AI adds value across the full expense workflow, and how teams are doing more with the resource they already have without losing oversight. 📅 Wednesday 30th September, 11am BST.

This week some insight on a key question... if companies have an expense policy, why is Finance still chasing spend? Some reasons include: ⚠️ Missing receipts; ⚠️ Late submissions; ⚠️ Policy exceptions; ⚠️ Approvals that should not of been approved. Individually, these can seem like relatively minor issues. BUT together, they create an Expense Compliance Gap — making spend harder to control, review and defend. ExpenseIn's latest report uses anonymised ExpenseIn data to uncover where expense controls start to break down and, importantly, what Finance teams can do about it. If Finance is still spending too much time chasing, checking and correcting expenses, this is well worth a read 👓 📊 The Expense Compliance Gap: Why Finance Still Ends Up Chasing Spend The report highlights: ⁉️ Why compliance problems are often process gaps, not policy gaps ⁉️ Where proof breaks down — and why missing receipts cause bigger problems later ⁉️ What increasing policy flags are really telling Finance teams ⁉️ How late submissions quietly make month-end harder ⁉️ Why approvals can unintentionally weaken expense controls ⁉️ What stronger controls look like across proof, policy, approvals and timing 📥 Download the FREE report here: https://lnkd.in/ex2QqE7r Want to see how ExpenseIn could help your organisation? 👉 Book a demo: https://lnkd.in/eA_9eqzp Interested in partnering with ExpenseIn? 👉 Join our growing partner ecosystem: https://lnkd.in/d9qfVsUc #ExpenseManagement #Finance #FinanceLeaders #ExpenseCompliance #SpendManagement #CFO #FinanceTransformation #ExpenseIn #HeadofFinance #Expenses #DigitalTransformation #AccountsIQ
