Few projects showcase the blend of craftsmanship and community history quite like the restoration of Holland’s iconic De Zwaan Windmill at Windmill Island Gardens 🌷 EV Construction has been honored to help preserve this landmark over the years — from repairing its blades to restoring the observation deck and cap. Partnering with windmill experts from the Netherlands ensured every detail stayed true to its Dutch heritage and authentic design. In our latest video, Project Management Intern, Josh, talks with Director of Field Management, Brian White, to share the story behind the intricate work that went into maintaining this 190-year-old treasure.

Ever wondered how Downtown Holland’s snowmelt system came to be? ❄️ As part of EV’s 80th anniversary, we asked our interns to interview longtime EV team members and revisit some of the legacy projects that shaped who we are today. Back in 1988, EV Construction was chosen as the construction manager to redevelop downtown Holland’s streetscape and install Michigan’s very first community snowmelt system. In this video, our Marketing & Experience Intern, Isabella Danckaert, talks with EV’s President & CEO, Mike Novakoski, about his firsthand experience working on this groundbreaking project.
