The next EU budget will say whether growth driven by SMEs and Mid-Caps is a real priority or just a line in a speech. For smaller companies, the size of the budget was never the whole story. The question is whether they can reach it at all. EU funding has long been easier for those with the resources to chase it; a Mid-Cap usually cannot. The proposed European Competitiveness Fund promises a single front door. Whether that door actually opens for a company of 80 people is the test that matters. Panel 2 of GrowthTalks 2026 - "Europe's Next Budget – Priorities, Resources, Growth" - takes on the next Multiannual Financial Framework and the new own resources behind it, and asks one practical question: does this money help someone build something in Europe? On the panel: 🔹 Estelle Göger, Deputy Head of Cabinet of Stéphane Séjourné, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy 🔹 Miren Elosegui Ganchegui, Ecological Transition and Sustainability, ADEGI 🔹 Christian Nasulea, Executive Director of IES-Europe and editor of EPICENTER's "Alternative MFF Project" Moderated by Rebecca Ciciani, Policy Advocacy Expert at European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME. 📅 Wednesday, 2 September 2026, 18:00 📍 Le Bouche à Oreille – Rue Félix Hap 11, 1040 Brussels ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dSYKAJYV Registrations are open.
