Enosi's Grant McDowell shares a quick look into what #energymatching can unlock for the #energysupplier and the #energyconsumer. An Italian success story that saw tens of thousands of new apartment dwelling customers sign up in weeks for the access to #solarpower that had previously been impossible for them. All for an extremely affordable 10 Euros a month. Another great moment from #LightningBoltTalks from Energy UK -- thank you! Enosi supports Chris Bowen MP's #SolarSharer, as we believe it will drive innovation and enable access to clean energy for all in Australia. We’re seeing the rise of #energymatching in leading markets around the world. Solar Sharer is another example of Australia leading the way with time matching, when clean energy is abundant. Solar Sharer is a clear signal to all household consumers to shift their demand and enjoy the benefits of low cost renewables. Solar Sharer is just the beginning.

Enosi is proud to have been chosen a 2026 Sustainability Leader by The Australian Financial Review. Thank you Nina Hendy for the interview with our CEO Steve Hoy. Here is an excerpt underscoring why we won: "Enosi Australia and its energy software platform Powertracer integrates with an energy retailer’s billing system, using traceability software to facilitate carbon-free energy and reward customers for shifting usage when clean energy is abundant and cheap, company founder and CEO Steve Hoy says. It’s a significant step that brings transparency and accountability to the energy market while emphasising renewable energy sources, and that has won it the Technology, media and telecommunications category in the Financial Review Sustainability Leaders this year." For years, the household with rooftop solar and the neighbour without it have sat on opposite sides of the same bill. One exports cheap power to the grid for a shrinking feed-in tariff. The other pays full retail rate, sometimes for energy generated right next door. A virtual energy network closes that gap. The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age has covered a twelve-month Deakin University study where households traded excess solar directly with other homes and small businesses. On average, 12 cents per kilowatt-hour was shared between buyer and seller. No new hardware. Just the existing grid and smart meters. That study ran on our Powertracer Community product with Energy Locals. Through collaborative work with Deakin University, ReThink Sustainability, QuantumNRG and WinZero, households and small businesses matched and traded solar on our platform, producing some of the strongest real-world evidence yet for customer-level energy matching and solar sharing in Australia. The benefit is not limited to people with panels. Of the 300 participants, about 100 had no solar of their own, including renters and apartment residents. Many shifted close to 20 percent more of their usage into the middle of the day, soaking up solar when it is most abundant. The energy transition becomes something every household can join, not just those with a north-facing roof. This is what time-matched energy looks like in practice. Real supply, real demand, matched by the meter, and priced between the people actually using it. A certificate tells you that renewable energy entered the grid. It does not tell you when. It does not tell you whether that generation matched with your consumption. It does not tell you anything about the source, the timing, or the price of the energy. For a long time, certificates have been an acceptable approximation. Now a combination of policy, technology and customer demand is catalysing the move to energy matching as the new standard. Energy matching does not approximate. It identifies the source, aligns it to consumption in time, and prices it accordingly. Hourly matching aligns with retail supplier energy contracts, unlocking a broader market for renewable energy and an accelerated pathway to cleaner, cheaper energy. If you're about to sign an Electricity Supply Agreement, ask for a matched one. #EnergyTimeMatching #EnergyMatching #24x7CarbonFreeEnergy #CleanEnergy #RenewableEnergy #EnergyAffordability #24x7CFE #ScopeTrue #RealZero Google Fortescue EnergyTag Evolve Energy (Evolve Energy Supply Limited) Elexon Ofgem Energy UK Innovation Zero
