Relationship breakdown doesn’t stay at home when we come to work. Separation, divorce and relationship distress can affect concentration, productivity, financial wellbeing and mental health, with the impacts often showing up in the workplace long before they’re recognised as a workplace issue. At the 2026 EAPAA International Conference, Angela Harbinson CEO of The Separation Guide will explore this often-overlooked intersection between relationship breakdown and psychosocial risk, and what it means for the way workplaces support employees navigating significant personal disruption. Because when life changes dramatically outside of work, the right workplace support can matter enormously. 📅 19–20 November 2026 📍 RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast 👉 Explore the program and register: https://loom.ly/uR4wYj4 #EAPAA #EAPAA2026 #PsychosocialRisk #WorkplaceMentalHealth #EmployeeWellbeing #EmployeeAssistancePrograms

What happens when supporting others starts taking a toll on the supporter? For professionals regularly exposed to trauma, distress and crisis, the answer can’t always be “practise more self-care.” At the 2026 EAPAA International Conference, Dr Emma Malone, Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) and Carinity – Talera, will explore secondary trauma through an organisational lens. Her session challenges conventional approaches to self-care and considers the role of supervision, workplace systems and organisational support in protecting the people whose work involves supporting others. It’s an important conversation for EAP professionals and organisations asking people to hold space for others, day after day. 📍 Gold Coast | 19–20 November 2026 👉 Explore the program and register: https://loom.ly/uR4wYj4 #EAPAA2026 #EAPAA #SecondaryTrauma #WorkplaceMentalHealth #EmployeeAssistancePrograms
