Announcing ERA’s new opportunity for the energy sector: the Methane Reduction Deployment Program. This new program will help Alberta’s oil and gas industry cut methane emissions faster and more cost-effectively. Funded with $22.4 million from the Government of Alberta’s Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction (TIER) system, the program supports the deployment of commercial-ready technologies that detect, measure, and reduce methane. ERA will cover 50%— up to $1 million—of eligible project costs. The program runs concurrently with NGIF Accelerator’s new Methane Reduction Demonstration Program, a $7 million initiative designed to advance near-commercial technologies.
