A resilient supply chain needs more than a continuity plan. Preparedness becomes valuable when it changes how an organization acts: frequent risk reviews, stress tests, simulations, clear escalation and practiced response. Our research shows the gap: 52% of organizations have a fully formalized continuity plan, but only 20% conduct monthly supply chain risk assessments, and just 14% regularly stress-test their supply chains. The executive question is not: “Do we have a plan?” It is: “Would we actually be ready to act?” That is where supply chain resilience starts translating into execution. Is your supply chain resilience driving performance? Supply chain resilience is not the advantage. Converting it into performance is. Nearly 30% of companies in our analysis combine relatively high supply chain resilience with lower business performance. That creates a different question for CSCOs and COOs: Not simply: “How resilient is our supply chain?” But: “What business value are we getting from that resilience?” High-performing supply chains connect the capabilities required to sense earlier → decide faster → respond better → adapt continuously. The ambition should be bigger than disruption protection: make supply chain resilience a source of business performance — and ultimately competitive advantage.

Is your supply chain truly prepared? A resilient supply chain needs more than a continuity plan. Is your supply chain resilient, but performing? Companies have spent years making supply chains more resilient. But resilience alone doesn't guarantee performance. The next challenge is different: how do you turn supply chain resilience into faster decisions, stronger execution and measurable business value? We have analysed the experience of 250 senior supply chain executives to understand what high-performing organizations do differently. One conclusion is already clear: supply chain resilience needs to move beyond protection from disruption. Resilient. But performing?

Is your supply chain visibility driving action? Supply chain visibility only creates value when it changes what you do. Only 31% of organizations in our research report full visibility across their supply network. But visibility itself is not the destination. The challenge is to turn signals into decisions - and decisions into action - before disruption becomes performance loss. Can we see it? is the first question. How fast can we act on it? is the one that matters.

Is your supply chain flexible enough to perform? Buffers protect. Flexibility performs. Inventory, redundancy and safeguards can absorb supply chain disruption. But sustainable resilience requires the ability to adapt. Alternative suppliers. Flexible capacity. Faster reallocation. Better information. Faster decisions. Our research suggests that stronger-performing supply chains combine these capabilities rather than relying on protection alone. The question is not simply how much resilience you can build. It is how much adaptability you can create.
