🌀 In Inception, every dream had layers. The deeper you went, the closer you got to the hidden truth. 🌀 The voluntary carbon market is no different. On the surface, some projects may appear credible. But stay only in the first “dream layer,” and you risk being misled by illusions: mixed standards, evolving guidance, and questionable quality. That’s why businesses are asking the right question: Which carbon credits can I trust to deliver real outcomes? At Ecologi | B Corp™, we go several layers deep with our Carbon Project Assessment Framework, grounded in science-aligned integrity principles: 🔍 Layer 1: Core Carbon Principles - the new global benchmark for integrity 🔍 Layer 2: Beyond standards - testing permanence, additionality, and co-benefits that don’t always show up in audits 🔍 Layer 3: Long-term resilience - ensuring projects strengthen your climate strategy, protect your brand, and deliver for people, nature, and the planet This framework is based on synthesising data we receive from our partners, Sylvera, BeZero Carbon, Calyx Global and Renoster with our own in-house analysis to uncover where there is consensus about project quality, and improve confidence. Because, like in Inception, what matters isn’t the surface dream. It’s what lies beneath. One poorly chosen credit can undo years of progress - while the right ones unlock genuine impact and restore confidence in the market. 📖 Our whitepaper sets out this framework to cut through the uncertainty and bring rigour, transparency, and trust back to the voluntary carbon market. 👉 Dive deeper here: https://lnkd.in/eAAV5FFd #Inception #ClimateAction #CarbonCredits #Sustainability #NetZero #ClimateStrategy #VoluntaryCarbonMarket #ForOurPlanet

The best time to plant a tree was 100 years ago. The next best time is today. Over the past five years, the EET family and supplier ecosystem has funded 2 million trees - part of their growing commitment to integrate nature into their climate strategy and build long-term business resilience. Yes, there will be naysayers. Funding reforestation alone won’t solve the climate crisis. But as deforestation accelerates - with the latest data from the Amazon and COP30 painting a bleak picture - we must do both: protect existing ecosystems and restore new ones. This is a true success story of nature restoration and business growth working together to drive commercial results. Sitting alongside their decarbonisation plan that priorities Scope 3 reduction, this voluntary scheme continues to deliver a range of benefits, as Søren Drewsen their CEO, explains "What makes this year even more special is that new suppliers have joined us. It’s inspiring to work with brands that share our values and commitment to measurable, long-term impact - for our industry and the environment alike." Landscape restoration isn’t just good for the planet; it strengthens supply chains, safeguards livelihoods, and supports the natural systems every business depends on. This is what nature leadership looks like. To everyone at EET - thank you - with special kudos to the core team that have enabled this over the years, including the aforementioned Søren, Victor Mundbjerg, Friederike Smith, Charli Adamson, Natalia Bencur Sandt and of course, Mr Tree himself, Kristian Lading. Your great-grandchildren will appreciate it 🌳 #LandscapeRestoration #Biodiversity #GreenFriday

This time of year always feels heavier. The days get shorter, the inbox gets louder, and the weight of expectation builds—especially in sustainability. End-of-year reporting. Target reviews. Another COP on the horizon, with all the noise that brings. For many, it’s a season of forced optimism—where ambition is high, but energy is low. And in the middle of it all are the people doing the work. Trying to hold the tension between hope and hard limits. Between what’s necessary and what’s possible. Between systems that move too slowly, and a planet that’s not waiting. That’s who we had in mind when we made our latest brand film. It’s not a solution. It’s not a strategy. It’s a moment of reflection—for the people keeping this work moving, often quietly, often alone. As the spotlight turns to COP and the pressure ramps up, we wanted to say: we see you. And if you’ve ever felt the strain behind the spreadsheets, this one’s for you. #Sustainability #Climate #COP28 Watch below 👇 https://lnkd.in/ep7gEduD

Our Ecologi | B Corp™ carbon footprint - down over 20% year-on-year 📉. Walking the walk. Earlier this year we published our full carbon footprint for the first time, as part of our 2024 Impact Report (see slide 57): https://lnkd.in/dSsKS8jJ For us, this was a meaningful step. We’ve supported hundreds of businesses to measure their emissions, so disclosing our own footprint felt important - not to claim perfection, but to show progress transparently. The main drivers for that 20% reduction in emissions were disciplined procurement, lower external spend, and our virtual-first approach, which reduced travel and office commuting - proving it is possible to cut emissions even while growing as a business. As expected, calculating our footprint came from collective effort - colleagues gathering home-working and commuting data, improving reporting accuracy, and continually asking how can we do better. Since then, we’ve strengthened our carbon accounting capabilities even further, including through the acquisition of Net Zero Now with 10 experts who focused primarily on carbon measurement. We also secured our ⭐️ B Corp recertification ⭐️ which required the disclosure of our footprint data, which reinforced the importance of measuring and reducing impact in everything we do. We know there’s still lots to learn, and plenty to improve. Carbon accounting is nuanced, and reductions aren’t always straightforward. But this is a step we’re proud of - and one we want to build on. We’ll keep sharing our progress openly, in the hope it encourages more businesses to reduce, restore, report and move forward - even if imperfectly. Because meaningful climate action isn’t about getting everything right. It’s about keeping going 💚 #EmissionsReductions #ReduceFirst #CarbonFootprinting #CarbonFootprint #EmissionsReport #WalkingTheWalk #Reduce #Restore #Report

“I was much further out than you thought And not waving but drowning.” - Stevie Smith Working in sustainability should not be unsustainable… and yet, so often, it is. The people who choose this work don’t clock out emotionally at 4:59 pm. They don’t forget the mission once the laptop closes. A pressure builds when you’re constantly defending how you’re trying to save the planet (sometimes to others in the same field who believe their mission to save the planet is better than yours - why do we do this). And layered on top of that are all the people who aren’t interested in saving the planet at all. On top of that are budgets, regulations, and reputation. On top of that is the real-life awareness that there is a climate crisis happening as we speak - not in years to come but RIGHT NOW. It can feel like swimming against multiple tides at once. And yet… it is still the best job in the world. Because at the end of the day, we get to say we tried. We pushed. We woke up and fought for something bigger than ourselves every day. We poured our energy into a future we believed in. A future that is possible if we keep pushing! And if you feel like you’re “not waving but drowning,” you’re not alone. But we keep going. Together. Until we all reach the shore. Ecologi | B Corp™ 🌍💚
