Nearly every second startup founded in Estonia over the past two years has involved an e-resident. 💡 That clearly shows that e-Residency has become an important part of Estonia's startup ecosystem. 📊 The latest data reveals: ▪️ 48% of startups founded in Estonia in recent years were connected to an e-resident. ▪️ 43% of active startups in Estonia have e-residents involved. ▪️ 7 of the 18 Estonian startups that raised funding in Q1 2026 were founded by or connected to e-residents. ▪️ 67 of the 465 Latitude59 startup competition applicants included at least one e-resident. From AI and deeptech to defence technology, founders from around the world are choosing Estonia as the place to build companies that are designed to grow internationally from day one. Why? Because starting and running an EU company can be done fully online, with minimal bureaucracy, while giving founders access to one of Europe's most founder-friendly business environments. As our Managing Director, Liina Vahtras, puts it: "Estonia is the preferred choice for many startup entrepreneurs with bright ideas precisely because of e-Residency, which allows a company to be launched quickly, completely digitally, and with minimal bureaucracy." 🇪🇪 Today, every fifth new company established in Estonia is founded by an e-resident. Together, they have founded more than 40,000 Estonian companies, generated over €433 million in economic impact, and continue to strengthen Estonia's position as a global hub for entrepreneurship.

Is there such a thing as useful failure? 🤔 Failure and entrepreneurship go hand in hand, yet "fail fast" is not very useful advice on its own. The useful part is not the failure itself, but the way the attempt is set up, measured and understood afterwards. In this clip, Winning Friends guests David Gram, Jeff Pan and Pepe Villatoro share three perspectives on failure: 🔹 What companies can learn from experiments that do not quite work 🔹 Why founders should move quickly towards better answers 🔹 How to practise educated trying without putting the whole business at risk The common thread is discipline: failure becomes useful only when it helps the team make a better next decision. 🎧 Explore the full conversations from our website!

What does an effective experimentation actually look like? Let's talk about that and what teams of any size can learn from LEGO's approach to innovation. 💡 LEGO's turnaround did not come from "more creativity" – it came from changing how the organisation made decisions under uncertainty: what to test, how to learn early, and how to avoid turning experimentation into expensive theatre. David Gram spent nearly a decade inside LEGO working on that shift. In this episode of Winning Friends, he shares the practices that made experimentation more disciplined and more adoptable, including how to plan for resistance, build support before you need it, and push change without burning bridges. 💬 How do you decide which ideas are worth testing and which to leave alone? If you've ever felt the gap between a good idea and a system that can actually absorb it, this conversation will resonate. 🎧 Watch the full episode from the link below!
