It is about giving them real classrooms to learn in, support when times are tough, and confidence to face every challenge. Tshidiso Chiloane joined Cyril Ramaphosa Education Trust (CRET) in 2018 and has been supported in many ways. He received a full bursary, but also care, guidance, and encouragement - especially at moments when things could have gone either way. At university, Tshidiso’s training was more than just theoretical. He was prepared for the realities of being in the classroom - and that preparedness paid off when he transitioned into teaching. He manages Grades 8-12, teaches three subjects, and works hard to create a trusting, open classroom where students feel heard and engaged. The benefits of supporting teachers extend far beyond exams and curriculum: it shapes lives. Through its Thari Programme, implemented by partner entity, Adopt-a-School Foundation, Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation is helping to build safer, more nurturing school communities in some of South Africa’s most vulnerable areas. Named after the Setswana word for a baby carrier, Thari embodies care and protection - offering psychosocial support to children and families, after-school Safe Parks, and local forums that address social challenges. By promoting safety, inclusion, and well-being, Thari is helping schools become centres of healing and hope. > https://lnkd.in/dxbkypQU #Dynamic #Building #Inclusive #Empowered #Society
