Announcing Airwayz as the newest innovator to join the CV VC portfolio - The defense-grade operational mission control infrastructure for low-altitude airspace The company behind the OVERWATCH airspace governance platform has had a significant few weeks. Two deployments. Two very different contexts. One clear signal about where AI-powered airspace infrastructure is heading. 🔹 At NATO's Technical Interoperability Exercise in May 2026, Airwayz fused live sensor data from 13 countries into a single operational picture, connected with 46 counter-drone nodes, and received the SAPIENT Interoperability Certificate from NATO's communications agency - certified, interoperable, and field-tested at alliance scale. 🔹 During one of the biggest sporting events in 2026, the Miami Police Department is deploying OVERWATCH to secure low-altitude airspace across the city during the FIFA World Cup - coordinating multiple technologies, stakeholders, and missions through a single operational environment, with hundreds of thousands of visitors in attendance. Defense-grade certification. Real-world urban deployment. The same platform, operating across both. This is what mission-critical AI infrastructure looks like in practice - not a proof of concept, but a system already operating at scale across some of the most demanding environments imaginable. At CV VC, we track sectors where frontier technologies meet critical infrastructure, and where the companies solving foundational problems are still early. 🤝 For decades, customer relationship management was defined by manual data entry, fragmented workflows, and disconnected information. That era is ending. A new generation of AI-native platforms is transforming CRM from a system of record into a system of intelligence. The opportunity is significant. According to Deloitte, the global CRM market is already worth $128 billion, yet many organisations still struggle to translate that investment into better outcomes. One company we have identified in this space is Rings AI. They are building a graph-native relationship layer for industries like venture capital, private equity, investment banking, asset management, and advisory. Rings AI structures the messy, circular web of people, funds, and deals that legacy CRMs were never designed to handle, and exposes that structure to the AI agents that increasingly need it. Companies such as Attio, Affinity.co, folk, Clay, and Rings AI are rethinking how teams manage relationships, automate workflows, and surface insights from their networks. Rather than simply storing information, these platforms help users identify opportunities, strengthen connections, and make better decisions. This is what the shift from experimentation to infrastructure looks like in practice. As AI becomes embedded into core business workflows, the platforms turning customer data into actionable intelligence are the ones defining the next category.
