The new ANSI/ASIS workplace violence standard is here, and it asks more of organizations than the last one. Much of what was recommended (should) is now a requirement (shall). Jake Newton and Jameson Ritter of CPPS served on the ASIS technical committee, the group of practitioners who wrote the new standard. On November 5, they'll walk through it in a free live session: --> What changed from the previous version --> How to use the standard as a working tool for your program --> Open Q&A on your organization's situation Thursday, November 5, 10 AM PT. Live online session.

Most travel risk programs are built around logistics. Itineraries, insurance, check-in protocols, evacuation plans. Very little of it prepares a traveler for the moment a foreign authority decides to detain them. The Advanced High Risk Travel Workshop is one day on the situations that fall outside a standard travel policy: recognizing surveillance and targeting, assessing the intent behind a stop, navigating questioning and detention, managing information under coercion, and making sound decisions when the stakes are high and the information is thin. Led by practitioners with decades of military and international security experience. November 19th (Week of OSAC) 30 minutes outside D.C. ASIS members $350 Non-members $500
