George Kapernaros, CEO of YOCTO (Klaviyo Elite Agency): "One of the most common complaints people have about their email marketing agency is that the agency is basically disconnected from what is happening from an advertising standpoint." Here's how his team uses AI to close that gap: 1. Ad teams can test far more than email teams. So the messaging drifts apart. 2. YOCTO uses AI to scrape every ad a brand is running. 3. It pulls out the key messages and the landing pages each ad sends people to. 4. Then they build the email calendar around those same messages. Why it matters, in George's words: "It is the ad that brings people to the website so that they give you the email. So, there has to be alignment." Full episode in the comments 👇

"...big companies that are very popular in the DTC ecosystem will send you a reminder at 3AM, so that you don't see it..." George Kapernaros, CEO of YOCTO (Klaviyo Elite Agency) just gave us an insider's look at what retention marketing looks like at top DTC brands running subscription programs. We dive into: - Why retention won't save a broken business - Subscription programs vs email marketing programs - The #1 mistake brands make with the billing reminder email, and what his agency did instead to drive an extra $700k for a client - The LTV Parthenon: The three pillars of subscription lifetime value - The Klaviyo attribution settings YOCTO uses to improve reporting for brands - How YOCTO uses AI across the agency, from real-time profitability tracking to aligning email with ads Check out the full episode of The Funnel Show with George Kapernaros. Quiz funnels beat storefronts for high consideration brands. Not because the storefronts are badly built. Because a shopper who doesn't know what they need should be funneled through a guided shopping experience, rather than expecting them to browse a product catalogue. Fera Pets sells pet supplements across digestion, mobility, calming, skin and coat, immunity, and cardiac health, for both dogs and cats, in multiple formats. An ecommerce brand thinks of those as product collections and SKUs. While the shopper thinks of it like: "My dog is twelve, he's stopped finishing his food, and he won't stop scratching." So instead of dropping that person on the storefront with a product catalog and hoping they figure it out, Fera asks seven questions: – Dog or cat? – The pet's age? – The primary health concern? – Whether the pet is already on a multivitamin? – Are they a picky eater? – Any allergies or sensitive skin? – Stomach issues? The recommendation that comes back is associated with Dr. Michelle Dulake, their veterinarian co-founder, and the shopper can add a full recommended group to cart. The result? Higher order rates and higher AOV than the traditional storefront. The pattern we keep seeing with high consideration brands (supplements, skincare, anything where the buyer is diagnosing before they're shopping) is that a storefront that is a product catalogue essentially asks the customer to be the expert. You have to filter by ingredient, compare six products, and decide which one is for you. The default Shopify store is architected for low consideration apparel brands, not high consideration brands that drive higher AOV. It's no wonder the average Shopify storefront converts at 2-3%, while we're finding quiz funnels consistently convert at 10%+. Why? A quiz correctly inverts the shopping funnel, starting with a consultative questionnaire that triages shoppers into a 1:1 personalized sales funnel. The customer describes the problem, the brand is the one who knows the answer, and ConvertFlow powers all the decision logic and data routing. Full case study linked below:

ConvertFlow’s AI now "one shots" perfected quiz funnels for brands 👀 I say "perfected" carefully. We first studied 3,000 quiz funnel campaigns recently launched in ConvertFlow and published a benchmark. The findings studying traffic of real quiz funnels? 1) 11.28% lead capture rate (average website form is 3-5%) 2) 5.2% order rate (average Shopify store is 1-2%) 3) 25% average higher AOV We also studied the quiz funnels of top brands that recently scaled to $100M+ in today's environment (12+ episodes of The Funnels Show). Still sending email traffic to your store? We're finding linking emails to message-matched landing pages generate as much as 41% higher AOV than emails to the standard store experience. If your emails are delivering, why aren't they delivering sales? Your email can do everything right and still lose the sale after the click. You have a strong offer, compelling creative, and a clear CTA. Shoppers click, ready to learn more… Then they land on a generic collection page of your store with 20+ products, competing links, and no obvious next step. And guess what? All the momentum created by the email just disappeared. This is one of the most costly post-click mistakes we see e-commerce brands make. The email presents a specific product, bundle, or promotion, but instead of continuing that same narrative, the landing page forces shoppers to start the decision-making process all over again. In other words, it breaks their buying pattern. You’re asking them to connect the dots when your post-click funnel should’ve already done it for them. Winning brands take a different approach. They send email traffic to dedicated landing pages that match… - The offer in the email - The product or bundle being promoted - The messaging angle that earned the click - The next decision the shopper needs to make Hexclad does this with landing pages dedicated to its cookware bundles. Qure Skincare builds focus pages around its holiday offers. Chilipad used a message-match holiday landing page to generate a 41% higher AOV than its standard store experience (full case study in comments). So what’s the lesson for email marketers? Your email strategy shouldn’t end when someone clicks; the click is where the next stage of the sale begins. In this video, I’ll show you why sending email traffic to generic product and collection pages can kill momentum and what high-growth brands do instead.
