Cold calling is unfashionable, apparently. It’s framed as outdated, intrusive, or something that only works if you’re desperate. Most founders would rather talk about inbound funnels and brand-led growth than admit that a real conversation still moves decisions forward. But when you actually sell to small and medium-sized businesses, the story changes. A small law firm doesn’t discover new tools through beautifully nurtured email sequences. A dental clinic doesn’t book time because of a viral LinkedIn post. Decisions often start because someone picked up the phone, listened, and created clarity. Last year, our team lived inside this reality. Thousands of conversations later, one thing became obvious. Cold calling wasn’t the problem. The way we tried to scale it was. Every call depended on human energy, timing, and memory. Follow-ups slipped. Context got lost. Effort didn’t compound. That’s the tension that led us to build Loro. Not because cold calling stopped working, but because it worked well enough to expose its limits. We needed a way for voice to scale without asking people to perform at superhuman levels every day. Cold calling may be unfashionable. But when done thoughtfully and supported by the right systems, it’s still one of the most honest ways to understand a market. No one tells you this, but “always available” is not a scalable strategy. We like to believe effort solves most problems. That if someone cares enough, they will be present, responsive, and available. But availability is not a moral trait. It is a constraint. If your business depends on perfect human availability, it’s already fragile. Usually, small and medium businesses run on people, not layers of process. When the office closes, it closes. When staff go home, they disconnect, because they have to. Yet customers don’t pause their questions to respect business hours. Someone calls at 2 a.m. because they are anxious and need clarity before the morning. Someone calls early because they are trying to make a decision before work. Someone calls in a language the team doesn’t speak fluently. We often treat this as a staffing problem. Hire someone for nights. Hire someone multilingual. Hire backups so nothing is missed. But at some point, the question shifts. Should we really be designing businesses that require humans to be endlessly available, or should we design systems that acknowledge human limits? That question stayed with me for a long time. Long before we thought about products or platforms. Loro was built inside this exact tension. Not to replace people, but to remove the expectation that people must always be present for a business to function well. We built it so conversations could continue intelligently even when humans couldn’t show up, without pretending that round-the-clock availability is normal or sustainable. For small and medium-sized businesses, this isn’t about technology optimism. It’s about respecting human boundaries while still being dependable. Once you start designing with that principle in mind, a lot of things change. Visit LoroAI here https://lnkd.in/ebhM3enP

There is a popular narrative that outbound is dead, and I think it’s dangerously misleading. Most people saying that, have never done it at scale. Outbound only looks inefficient when you observe it from the outside. I understand where it comes from. Cold emails feel ignored. Calls feel intrusive. Everyone says buyers want everything self-serve. But after spending a year inside outbound, I don’t agree. Last year, our team made more than 150,000 cold calls. Not automated pings. Real conversations. We spoke to over 9,000 people and booked 304 meetings with end customers. Our team proved that cold calling works. What it did not prove was that hiring more people indefinitely is a good idea. Loro came from that realization. When you hear objections, urgency, hesitation, and curiosity every day, you realize something important. Voice is not outdated. It is under-engineered. Every call depended on someone showing up with energy, remembering context, following up at the right time, and doing it again the next day. That is not a channel. That is a fragile system. Loro was built when we stopped asking, “Does outbound work?” and started asking, “Why does it break so easily?” If you sell to small and medium businesses in the US, you already know the answer. Voice still converts. It just needs better infrastructure. Visit LoroAI to learn more https://lnkd.in/ebhM3enP

Introducing our very first flagship product, Loro AI. https://lnkd.in/eusCiJr5 Over the past few months, my team and I have been working on something that started as a very practical problem inside our own business. We were trying to scale outbound, event follow-up, and partner campaigns with a small team. Our SDRs were stretched, follow-ups slipped through the cracks, and a lot of good intent never translated into real conversations. So we asked a simple question: What if we could spin up a “perfect associate" in minutes – one that never gets tired, speaks like a human, handles objections, and books meetings at scale? That question became Loro, and over the last few weeks, we’ve moved past the “idea” stage: 1. Loro is already live with 4 customers 2. It’s running real campaigns – outbound, event follow-ups, and partner outreach. 3. It’s integrating into existing GTM motions instead of replacing them. Who is Loro for? We are only targeting AWS partners (Software and Consulting), selling to SMBs 1. Who wants to generate top-of-the-funnel leads at scale. 2. Who is investing in events, webinars, or campaigns and struggling with follow-up 3. Who wants to break into a new territory or raise awareness of their product & solutions. I would also like to thank Raja N. for believing in this solution early on and encouraging us to build this. I will be at the re:Invent 2025, comment “LORO” below or DM me, and I’ll personally set up a short demo and share what we’re seeing with our early customers. Excited to see how our fellow partners would use it. This is just day 1.
